HELP ME!

ANYONE! If I have a job, in which I walk/run my butt off (carhopping at Sonic), NON-STOP, 6-8 hours a day, how am I supposed to have enough energy to POWER through a good workout afterwards!?

This is frustrating. I cannot seem to find the right balance between working out and work!!!! Of course, the balance begins with what work does to me, and whatever strength I have left, I put into a workout…the best I can. Then EARLY (5am) the next morning, wake up and run again AT WORK until I cry from stress overload and still haven’t even lifted a single weight!!

THEN, I can’t sleep because I did not work out that day. (you know you sleep better when you workout) and it starts all over again, WITH NO SLEEP!!!!

GEEZ, am I supposed to work myslef to death? Obviously not, but I would love to exercise as hard as I work. I just wish I had more energy to workout everyday.

Maybe if I do light cardio after work on the days when I feel I have no energy, it will somehow give me more? I’ll try that.

ANY help? suggestions? advice, therapy? hehahaha I’m ok really, I just didn’t workout this week. But today is Sunday and I’m off, so I’m going to do shoulders bi’s and tri’s! and cardio. I can’t wait until the gym opens… at 12 noon. what the crap! hahah I wish it opened earlier. THANKS!

if you work until 12 or 2 what about coming home, taking a break from work, eating, resting a bit maybe a power nap and rejuvinating before you hit the gym at like 4 or so.. I bet you would have a better workout and you can eat what you need to to energize your training. what about supplements, muntivitamins and the like.. I guess it’s either that or find a 24 hour gym.. lol best of luck, I know it’s tough to fit it all in with a stressful job… :)

ok its always good to work yourself hard as hell in your workouts so keep doing that thats the only way your going to see any improvements. there are a few things you can do to help but most important is just give it time your body will get used to your daily run a round soon enough then it wont be so bad the but be sides that try to take a good size load of carbs before your workouts just enough for your body to feed on and during your workouts hit up more weights and less cardio tell you feel yourself getting to the point that you have a little more energy through out the day. and up your intake of food meaning more meals a day not more food just brake it up your body will be in over drive to burn food that way and in turn give you more energy. give that a try tell me what you think but dont just try it for a week and give up it will take almost a month for your body to make the change and get used to what your doing to it.

Hey, I know exactly how you feel. I work a varied shift at Wal-mart in the produce department. You just have to listen to your body. I don’t work-out everyday. You can’t beat yourself up for missing a workout here and there. Its obvious your getting enough cardio, and you’re not lazy by any means. I like what some of the other guys said about just focusing on lifting more weights. Also, what you eat can play a big part in how you feel. Try to eat foods that will fuel your body, and give you more energy. I know that this is hard to do in the fast food business (been there, done that). Some of the little things I do are just cutting back on sodas and caffeine, eating more fruits and veggies, and upping the protein and protein supplements. Also, stretching before and after workouts will give you energy and actually make you feel younger. Heck, I even do it sometimes when I wake up, before I go to work, or even before I go to bed. Anyways, hope all this helps. Good luck with your goals, and just realize that sometimes, its okay to relax in order for your body to recover and prevent injury.
