Have been working hard all week both in the office and in the gym. So much so that I actually had to take a nap before coming to the gym tonight lol.

 Here was tonights routine:

10 minutes SS treadmill @ 4.6

Alternating Lateral Lunge: 12 x 4lb mb, 8lb mb, 8lb mb

EB Flys: 12 x 15, 15, 15

EB Sculls: 12 x 25, 25, 25

10 minutes SS Eliptical level 10

Flat Bench Press: 12 x 65, 75, 75

Close Foot Leg Press: 12 x 90, 140, 140 (that’s just plates, not sure how much the sled weighs??)

Arnold Press: 12 x 15, 17.5

Seated Calf Raise: 12 x 45, 45

Was a good workout, however, my hami’s are soooo sore from yesterdays cardio. Hopefully they’ll be good for tomorrow’s workout.

On another note, my eating has cleaned up a lot this week. I’m actually down 3.5lbs. Yesss!!! I love it when that happens.

Cardio

I was feelin froggy tonight cause I started back on SP250 this week. So the extra umph was appreciated for tonights cardio.

Here’s the low-down:

Ball Crunch 2 x 30

1 mile sprint: was supposed to run sub 7 minutes but haven’t ran all out in quite some time. I managed to run it in 8:30 though

Ball Crunch 2 x 30

20 min HIIT: 50 sec run, 30 sec walk. (After the run I wasn’t sure I would do well with this part but I surprised myself)

Ball Crunch 2 x 30 - Lower back started givin me problems. Might have been my form cause my abs were wearing out

10 min SS treadmill - Barely made it through but pushed myself cause I didn’t want to quit

I think next week I’ll change up the cardio equipment just cause I get bored stayin on one machine.

I’m sooo tired!

Day 2: Pull

Tuesday, January 27th, 2009

Today was a pretty intense workout. I was fatigued after each exercise pretty well. Ultimately, I was exhausted by the time I left the gym which made it fun walking down the stairs to go home.

Here it goes:

10 minute warmup: Treadmill @ 4.5

Bird Pickers: 3 x 15 - These seem really easy but by the end of the third set, my hami’s felt completely stretched out and it kinda made it hard to pick my foot up to walk forward

BB Bent Over Row: 15 x 70, 80, 80 - Good pump and barely made it to 15 on the third set

DB SLDL: 15 x 22.5, 25, 25 - The hardest part was carrying the weights from the rack to the platform across the building (started to get major forearm pump)

Seated Alt. Curls: 15 x 20, 20 - I did 15 each side. Had some sick veinage poppin in my bi’s and shoulders

Seated DB Shrugs: 15 x 40, 30 - Complete forearm pump. Had to rest a few seconds cause I couldn’t hold the weight anymore

Asst Pullups: 15 x 13, 14, 15 - Had to use more assistance due to the arm pump

Contra Lateral Progression: 3 x 10

SS Cardio: Eliptical 20 mins @ level 7

Here Goes Nothin

I started a new workout routine today (with the help from my new friend MDrane) and let me just tell you… I’M POOPED! For the past year or so I’ve been doin the same excercises in varied routine’s and started to get a little burnt out. Prior to today I had been lifting quite heavy at low rep ranges. I didn’t really pick up on the cardio till October when I ran the Susan G. Komen 5k (and about died lol). So now’s the time to change everything up so that I can define and fine tune the mass I built last year.

I wasn’t sure on the poundage I should be using so I kinda just picked a weight and went with it. Once I get through this first week I’ll be able to guage the weights better.

Here’s the rundown:

Day 1 (Push)

10 Min warmup - Treadmill @ 4.5mph

Cable Crunch 30 reps by 12.5, 17.5 and 22.5

Russian Twist w/MB 2 sets x 15 w/4lb mb

Thrusters 20 reps x 3 @ 17.5lbs

Burpees 18, 12, 10 (was supposed to do 3 sets of 20 but was losin steam and getting angry about it!)

Squat (smithmachine) 15 reps x 25’s, 15’s, 15’s

Incline DB Press 15 reps x 20, 22.5, 22.5

VBar Push Down 15 reps x 22.5, 27.5

20 mins ss cardio - Eliptical @ level 7

We’ll see what tomorrow has to bring but am pretty stoked about it!
