How Much CARDIO to do?? HEEELP!

Alright, I’m sitting at 180 pounds, 20% bodyfat. I’m lifting 3-4 times/week, and usually doing a circuit all body workout which elevates my heart rate.. PLUS, I do 2-3 HIIT cardio sessions of 20-30 mns per week. My question: Should I do steady state cardio another 2-3 times per week as well? IAM VERY motivated to get lean by July 1st when I go home for vacation to Minnesota for 20 days (I’m a civilian contarctor in Iraq)… How much cardio and can I do HIIT AFTER a lifting workout (normally wouldnt feel like it, but is it possible, beneficial?)….

 Plus, how many calories shoudl I be eating/day?? haha… I ask a lot. I have lost 42 pounds in the last 13 months, 18 or so in the last 10 weeks, but only lost 3 pounds in last 3 weeks (mayeb gained some muscle???)… I RARELY eat more than 2400 calories in a day, and usually it is 2000-2200, and easily do 180-200g of protein per day. Its clean eating (except on wednesdays! Guess what tomorrow is?? heheh WENDSDAY!)

    Hey man my name is Chris…I have been struggling big time with my last 20 lbs. too. I don’t know how hard it is to get supplements in Iraq but Hydroxcut Hardcore is what I have been told to use. My goal is for July as well. I have been doing about the same as you for cardio and the only difference is I am eating even less calories (1500-2000) and consuming alot of protien (200-300g). All I can say is this—and I am doing the same right now—up you cardio by 10-15%. Try and keep your heart rate up around the 75% level and just don’t give up. Sweat Sweat Sweat is what I keep being told. I am going to add you to my list of friends and I’ll see if it works for you and you can do the same for me. Hope this helps.

    Hey Chris-

    yea, this cardio is a pain. I broke a pledge to do HIIT today, because Wed. is my traditional \"day\" off from cardio. Do you notice how hungry you get with all the cardio and weight tianing? I eat every 2-3 hours and i\’m uaually STARVING for food! haha..maybe that is good…

    Wel, I\’m going to bed early tonight so I make sure I get at LEAST 8 hours of sleep. I hate mornings so much, and lately made excuses to do cardio in evenings. Kick my ass bro!!

    Whats yoru body fat at? I\’m at 20%..weight 180, but would LOVE to be at 162 by July 1st)… whats your eating plan?
