Perfect!

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Hello everyone!

My story goes as follows:

Wife, Mother and career woman! I love to dance, play volleyball and swim. I hope that some of you can relate to my life and look at my failures and successes and learn from them to reach your own goals and achievements.

I met my husband when I was in my early 20’s and learned a wealth about nutrition and fitness from him. With his help I started training with weights in the gym. This was when I started noticing fitness competitions on TV and would admire the looks of these women and the women in Muscle and Fitness and Oxygen magazines.

My love for competition took over and I made it my goal to compete in a fitness competition. After training hard and starting to see some major results I found out I was pregnant. My goal was to work out throughout my pregnancy so that I would have an easier labour and a very healthy baby. However, I had many complications and at 3 months pregnant I was put on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy. Well not only was I getting no exercise, I was also very bored! I was unable to do anything except eat! So I ate Caesar salad after Caesar salad, grilled cheese sandwiches and loads of bread ….I was like the good year blimp by the time I went into labour! I weighed 230lbs!!!!!!

I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (My princess …Milaina). This was in May 2000, So yes it has been 7years since then! I have lost and gained lbs on and off since then but nothing to really get me motivated again!

Well, last June I went to the Southern Alberta Bodybuilding and Fitness show and these women were the most beautiful beings I have ever seen! I contacted a trainer and started working with her this summer. Now I wish I could say it has been easy and that I have lost all my weight. Not so much! I followed my plan to a tee for the first month, lost some inches. My daughter then had open-heart surgery and I allowed myself to fall off the  ” wagon” :(

I know what to do and I wish I could just say DO IT! however motivation is what I need most!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope to share my journey with consistent updates including both ups and downs.
