OK we have another IFBB Men’s Pro Contest with the IFBB Houston Pro. Like we don;t hhave enough for the men already. Now, this is interesting, for competitors 202lbs and under, this show will go on, despite not being on some of the contest schedules. The top three will be able to compete in the special Mr. Olympia 202 and Under contest. WHAT? Total contest prize money is $3,000, but competitors can compete in both shows. As in the past 202lbs and under shows, these shows are designated to showcase the smaller bodybuilder, who often gets overlooked when the big guys are on stage. WHAT? Get bigger iditos, or go join the WNBF!
Let’s talk about this stuff. Define "Symmetry" Websters dictionary: Symmetry…Balance of form or proportion…similarity of form or arrangement on either side of a devided line or plane…" Yep! So, all the magazine editors, I just love Johnny fitness with MuscleMag International using this word all the time…So sorry iditos but ALL bodybuilders are "Symmetrical" unless you see disformations like my boy Ronnie Coleman had at the last Olympia because of his injuries and they were noticeable. So he was not "Symmetrical." PLEASE use the right word for your discriptions of wanting "little-small" bodybulders…I don’t get this because back in Arnolds time the OLD bodybuilders didn’t like Arnold and Mentzer types they said and were told they’re too big. Let’s not leap into the 21st centry let’s go backwords! Than why keep paying money as sponsors to shows if you don;t want BIG bodyuilders to win. People pay too see FREAKS we can see normal little men in the gym all the time.

Hello Lifters of ALL Organizations, Bench Pressers and Muscle Update Readers:
Monsters of Muscle come to New Mexico, bringing a new level of SHOCK, the likes of which has never, ever been seen in the high desert of New Mexico. HAUNTED Bar Bending ATTRACTIONS…an eerie grave yard where disturbing spirits and FIENDISH GHOULS wander amongst the metal. Yes, Power-lifting is about BIG "Freaky" accomplishments and having fun!
First, we would like to thank Bodybuilding.com and ALL our sponsors for making this event “special.” There are those in our sport who complain about gear use, organizations, some have taken sides when they said they would not; turning others against one another for what reason but for their own ego. Let’s unite; JUST LIFT BABY!
High Peaks Barbell Club and The American Powerlifting Federation (APF) with Bodybuilding.com are proud to announce the Annual APF Halloween Monster Bench Bash (http://www.monsterbenchbash.com) to be held at the Eagle Nest Village Community Center, Eagle Nest, New Mexico on Saturday, October 13th. We invite ALL to take part in this premier event! That’s if you got hte GUTS to Bench?
A second meet is already in our plans for 2008. See you at the meet and thanks for your support.

Karin is a long time NPC competitor like myslef, she’s been around the industry and many do know her…I know her as my designer for my Bench Shirt, she is owner of Karinsextremepower.com
I asked Karin to tell us about her career and her come back at the recent Arnold Classic…”Hi Anita, So, you want some info on my big comeback after fifteen years, eating beef, chicken and yams, oatmeal and grits for four months? Well, I started working out last April 2006 after a 5 year absence from the gym. Weighed in at 149 lbs. could have gone lighter, but at my age more wrinkles was not an option. lol I will turn 60 yrs. in November, was at minimum 20 years older than anyone else. It was certainly a challenge this time around, met more than a few new competitors, from the fitness women, phsyique women, to the bodybuilders, it was great fun. Had so many friends and family cheering me on, many teary eyed when I came off stage with my 4th place trophy. Might have to do it one more time. ha ha.”

"I won this same contest in 1992, also was in the first Arnold 1986 (it was a pro-am show then placed 6th after one of the top five tested positive for drugs) 7 vendors and 2500 person audience at Vet’s Memorial) I competed at the second Arnold 1988. Started lifting Nov. of 1982 on nautilus equipment, competed February of 1983 for the first time , won the Ms. Dayton, ohio. Went on to take the Ms. Ohio class title several times, pretty much every regional competition in the east and mid states. Also competed in the AAU, won the Ms. Usa, Ms. Jr. Usa, Ms. Jr. America, and Class winner at the Ms. America those were all from 1986 to 1989. Also competed in Powerlifting in the 148lbs. class made the top five twice at the nationals, came out fourth at the y-nationals, have my elite in the 148lb and 165 lb class. I also was invited to do the Women’s extravaganza on the East Coast 1988-1992, Ray Hollit and I competed all four years, she besting me of course, again I was 15- 20 years older than anyone else. My best showing there was 3rd, which was a win for me , lol. I was a personal trainer for eleven years and retired from that in1997. Thanks Anita, Karin. No thank you Karin, maybe you and I can prep for the 2008 Masters Nationals, I’m thinking about it.
