Call For Candidates: Elitefts Seeks Volunteers…

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

stronger-workout-header.jpgCall for Candidates: Elitefts seeks volunteers to help finalize the Strong(er) Workout Program.
EliteFTS is preparing to launch the Strong(er) Workout Program and we are currently looking for volunteers to help take part in its final development.

Training for competitive sports is a point in which training for health and fitness no longer is the prime objective. A complete, well-rounded program, for example, covers all areas—from cardiovascular and strength development to flexibility, mobility, nutrition and beyond.  By contrast, a competitive sport such as powerlifting requires the development of maximum strength above all other areas in order to become a champion.  Sport-specific training can significantly neglect other areas of training to achieve its desired outcome.

The question then becomes, what happens when the overall purpose and goal becomes developing brute strength, complete fitness, and a lean, solidly muscled physique?  In other words, what does one do when they no longer have the need to excel 100 percent at one specific attribute, but rather, develop all areas at the highest level possible? This is where the Strong(er) workout comes into play.  The Strong(er) Athlete will sacrifice a studied depth in training to achieve an optimum and well-rounded breadth.

Testing and Feedback: In order to optimize the program under “real world” conditions, EliteFTS is looking for 50 volunteers (both male and female) who are ready to participate in helping test and finalize the Strong(er) Workout Program.  Each person will help test a different phase of the overall program.  Applicants need to have a minimum of five years consistent training and be extremely ambitious—this program is not for the average gym member.

Candidates should submit a written summary of who they are and why they train.  Additionally, no volunteer should be associated with any member of  Team EliteFTS.

Please submit your summary (telling us who you are and why you train, how long, where, your program, and anything else you feel is useful for us to know) to:Dave Tate Stronger@elitefts.com

Also Dave Tate will be supervising this project, overseeing and advising all selected applicants throughout each phase. He created this program and has already tested it himself and a select small group of other people from various training backgrounds. This has already been ALPHA tested (to sound technical). This is the point when most would launch and sell their programs but Dave doesn’t feel right about that until he has a lot more people go though it. While he has put a lot of thought, effort and his own training into this Dave knows there will be more modifications to be made.

Press Release. 2008 Masters National: Anita’s Comeback!

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

PRESS RELEASE:

Hi Everyone…The 2008 Master Nationals is no joke it is a pro qualifier for sure.  So many girls that I’ve competed with since I strated were there too, Cathy Conners, Ivers, Carmen Brady, and so many more all welcomed me back with excitement.

The tuffest classes were the women’s lightheavyweight’s and heavyweights - I was in the lightheavyweights (139 3/4)…16 girls in my class, 17 in heavyweights!

Got called out first one. No really first numbner called out. How cool was that. I was tortured by the judges, they had me up with the first call out and secound group also…I was one hurting unit…Curtis screamed at me constantly to stay tight it helped allot.

At night show got to do my routine. I PLACED 4th!!! I’m so happy to comeback after a 10 year layoff too place top 4 is way cool - but I have to say the Dave Palumbo diet kicked my ass. More on that later.

So my come back was a TOP 5…. SWEET! Curtis, myself, Dave Palumbo and Collete Nelson ALL were really happy for me and excited. I had a GREAT time, lots of fun…Wait for the premier of my Video Series right here coming out this week. And I’ll have longer more detailed info with lots more pics too coming soon also.

MY Own Update…My Gym,Masters Nationals And More!

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

LOGO.JPGMy gym is doing GREAT. We have been getting more and more clients.  But, I want more!  And what’s’ cool is I re-started my BBing career.  Yep, as some of you might already know I’m doing the 2008 Masters Nationals in 7 days.  It was scary at first, because it’s been a long time since I dieted, got on stage or did anything related to posing.  Curtis (my husband) made a suggestion that really helped me do this and do focus on our business; I contacted an old friend, Dave Palumbo, who is GREAT at contest prep for competitors at my level.  Working with Dave has taken a HUGE burden off of my shoulders allowing me to focus on other things and not stress so much about what to eat or not to eat ect.

Oh yeah, my gym: High Peaks Barbell Club.  The gym is only 2,000 sq ft and it’s an enormous task.  When I opened my gym I wanted to do one thing and that is too me someone who opens a gym should understand that a gym should be a gym, and that the people that run a gym should know the industry. And though we welcome everybody, we readily admit that we are not for everybody. Our members are “SERIOUS!”  High Peaks Barbell Club also offers a world-class location to train in a fully-supported altitude environment (8,300 plus ft.) as the “highest” Center for High Altitude Training. The distinctive setting is enhanced by the surrounding Resort areas of Taos Ski Valley, Red River Ski Resort, and Angle Fire Ski Resort; all active mountain communities with many tourist attractions, and breath taking scenic beauty.

High Peaks Barbell Club is ONE of ONLY three certified US Olympic Weightlifting Facilities in New Mexico and High Peaks Barbell Club is a Regional Training Center for USA Weightlifting, which is the governing body of the sport—Olympic style Weightlifting. Olympic Weightlifting is the only weightlifting sport participated in the Olympic Game’s. We are also an official SPARQ Training facility and the American Powerlifting Federation (APF) New Mexico State Headquarters, as well as promoters of the annual Halloween Monster Bench Bash www.monsterbenchbash.com.  We have a large variety of equipment. These are a few we have to offer: reverse hyper, Glute Ham Raise, 2 Box squats, Safety Squat Bar, Power rack, All levels of board press boards, 160 lbs. of chains, Several sets of stretch bands, Olympic Platform, 500 lbs. of Bumper plates, Metal Militia Competition Bench, Incline Bench, 3 adjustable benches, Dumbbells from 5 to 140, Over 2,500 lbs. of free weights, Cybex lying leg curl and leg Extension, Medicine Balls, Lat Pulldown/Row combo, Multiple Cable Attachments, Blast straps, 2 Life Fitness Stair steppers, 1 Cybex Treadmill, And more…. Our new place will be a 3,000 sq ft building and in less than two years an 8,000 sq ft building with artificial turf and everything needed to bring NFL players up for training.

I also, when in New York, train at Adirondack Barbell Club Home of the Metal Militia! Truly the Strongest benchers on Earth!  They are all helpful, knowledgeable, and some strongest ****ers we know. We have learned a ton since starting there and learn more each training session. Bill Crawford and Sebastian Burns are great people.  I have a whole new respect on working a gym of your own. When we started we opened as a gym, not anymore, it’s not worth all the time and effort.  So, after our one-year anniversary at our weekly business meeting my husband and I renamed and placed our focus 100% on what we really want to do and that is strictly a “private” training facility with emphasis on a “High Altitude” Sports Training Facility only … We tell our members we are a “gym” NOT a fitness center.  We have Powerlifters and Olympic lifters training here and we comp All IFBB pros and NPC competitors so please come and visit…If you can lift way up here!  Everyone is welcome!!! Please come see me… We’ve added a “Girls Fit Boot Camp” 8am Saturday mornings. Each workout will be different. As the weeks go on you will get a chance to lift, drag, jump, throw, push and heave many different types of objects. We offer a Bench Press Club and TEAM workouts every Saturday too. My partner comes up with all this stuff…Of course I have an awesome partner and couldn’t do it without him.  520&Curtis.jpgCurtis Schultz: my husband.  He’s an ex-college strength and conditioning coach and football coach.

Being a small business owner is not glamorous!  It’s hard work people, it’s easier working for someone, but doing it your self does have its perks too.  Curtis and I have always talked about owning our own gym since we met and now we cant believe we made it happen.

My training has not slacked yet.  It did in the beginning but I said “no way” me too for training slot - so I placed a time slot for me to work out on the schedule.  We know Eagle Nest New Mexico is not a Metropolitan area BUT we are a resort area with three ski resorts near by and lots of hiking and other stuff to do but we our gym is THE place to come train.

NocWarriorshirtAndy2.jpgWe have a new face helping us his name is Andy Wolf a young Bench Press specialist who will soon crack 700 in the 220’s…We desperately needed another employee. I am just days away from leaving for the Masters Nationals and when we come back we will be in need of the help.  It’s very hard to find good TRUSTING employees in this industry…there are many certified Personal Trainer BUT can you really do the job? Do you know how to train everyone in ALL walks of life?

P1010032sm.jpgAbout my contest prep again I am around 135… Which is very low for me.  But, I don’t mind AT ALL because my delts are BIGGER, and so are my arms as well as better shape in legs and overall look.  I like it a lot Dave –THANKS!  I want this win this year. If I don’t come in 1st in my class at least, I know I’ll be back next year for sure.  Right now my life is well set for a win.

Blog Entry

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

OK we have another IFBB Men’s Pro Contest with the IFBB Houston Pro. Like we don;t hhave enough for the men already. Now, this is interesting, for competitors 202lbs and under, this show will go on, despite not being on some of the contest schedules. The top three will be able to compete in the special Mr. Olympia 202 and Under contest. WHAT? Total contest prize money is $3,000, but competitors can compete in both shows. As in the past 202lbs and under shows, these shows are designated to showcase the smaller bodybuilder, who often gets overlooked when the big guys are on stage. WHAT? Get bigger iditos, or go join the WNBF!

Let’s talk about this stuff.  Define "Symmetry"  Websters dictionary: Symmetry…Balance of form or proportion…similarity of form or arrangement on either side of a devided line or plane…"  Yep! So, all the magazine editors, I just love Johnny fitness with MuscleMag International using this word all the time…So sorry iditos but ALL bodybuilders are "Symmetrical"  unless you see disformations like my boy Ronnie Coleman had at the last Olympia because of his injuries and they were noticeable. So he was not "Symmetrical."  PLEASE use the right word for your discriptions of wanting "little-small" bodybulders…I don’t get this because back in Arnolds time the OLD bodybuilders didn’t like Arnold and Mentzer types they said and were told they’re too big.  Let’s not leap into the 21st centry let’s go backwords! Than why keep paying money as sponsors to shows if you don;t want BIG bodyuilders to win. People pay too see FREAKS we can see normal little men in the gym all the time.

Amanda Savell

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Everyone is saying that Dave Jacobs killed Amanda Savell, then killed himself. But, the Plano police confirmed that Dave Jacobs committed suicide, but still have not ruled on how Amanda received those multiple gun wounds. You are kidding right? If the Plano Police don’t know that then get another police department! There was a competitor with the same last name as mine back in the early 90’s and her boyfriend killed her and everyone who knew me thought my husband killed me, and then we have the Sally McNeil story, and Craig and Kelly. Wow!

Craig Titus And Kelly Ryan Story Is Done!

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

Wow - just when I thought this would never end, Craig Titus has taken a plea deal, as did Kelly Ryan, which ends the trial. Craig Titus will plead guilty to second degree murder, first degree kidnapping and first degree arson. Which means the judge can sentence Craig to between 17-55 years in jail.

Did any of you companies out their get  aclue on this guys character?  Wow, it so surprises me sometimes the people that have money in this industry give it to the most wrong peopel and the oens who help and can do some good get nothing! Will this teach any of you aleason out there? Nope, probably not. Now for Kelly Ryan she will plead guilty to battery with a deadly weapon and first degree arson. Craig hopes to speak on July 18th, which is when he will be sentenced. Why?  Say your sorry?  Give it a rest.
