Anita Ramsey’s Muscle Update

Yes, only two moe weeks and it’s time to see who can lift the weights at 8,200 ft with all the goblins looking on.  Some of our gym members have been training hard for their very first bench press meet ever.

We’re excited for them and nervous too.  Well, hope we see some of you, and if not then we know the wherewolves got ya…

The Natural Athletes Strength Association (nasa-sports.com), New Mexico Regional Powerlifting meet was held in Rio Rancho on September 8th 2007. Mike and Teale Adelmann own LiftingLarge.com and are the meet directors and state chairs of NASA New Mexico. They do Regional and Push It, Pull It, Lift It, Meets that are held throughout the year at The Sports Clubs in Rio Rancho, NM. 

This year’s Regional meet brought in over 35 powerlifters from throughout New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.  Lifters range in age from 16 to 82 years old.  Richard Kahle from Las Cruces, NM had the biggest bench of 585lbs and Henry Thomason from Sherman, Texas had an easy raw squat of 745lbs.  The next NASA event held in New Mexico will be the “Push It! Pull It! Lift It!” to be held on December 1st 2007.  For more information on this meet check out www.LiftingLarge.com

Candy’s ministry just purchased 7 acres of land on thier "lower" income side of town.  "We are to start breaking ground soon.  (To build my sports-plex for under priveldged kids.)  I am super proud of that.  And I started Seminary School last week.  I am about to start my mission work.  4 countries in 2 months, all while maintian my school work via online." Said Pastor Candy…That’s cool to build somehting for kids like that we should all wish her luck and safe passage too.  It also seem’s fellow fbber Shelly Fields is going to Isreal with Candy in Dec.  
She and Candy met at the USA Show and she expressed her calling to Candy.  Good luck and again and our prayers are with you safe passage girls.

It is with great sadness that the sudden and unexpected death of USA Weightlifting’s Executive Director, Mr. Rodger DeGarmo came to us just last week. He was on a business trip for USA Weightlifting, and was discovered to have passed away some time during the night. Efforts were made to revive him, but were unsuccessful.
