Well, in just a few more days the  2007 Arnold Classic, the FitExpo, and the WPO Finals will be here agian. wow, time sure flies doesn’t it? Another Arnold all ready. The 2007 Arnold Classic is part of the Arnold Sports Festival scheduled for March 2-4, 2007, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The weekend includes over 39 sports, 17,000 athletes and is attended by over 130,000 people.

The Arnold now has an NPC show added this year too.

Well, I have to say THANK YOU to Bodybuilding.com and Ryan Deluca for his presentation and coverage of a live webcast of the Ms. International, Fitness and Figure International.  It will be the first exclusively women’s web cast provided by Bodybuilding.com. I took a quote from Ryan. “These athletes deserve to be watched by more people and we hope to achieve that with this webcast.  YES, so true.  I keep telling you people that "bodybuilding" competitive bodybuilding is a "click" and it will never ever be mainstream and the more you try to do that to the sport the more it ALL get’s damaged, with more FDA and Government regulations, and on and on…OK, I’ll stop!

The Metal militia has several competing in and attending the WPO.  The MCCASLIN FAMILY AND IRON ASYLUM GYM have 4 of there crew lifting in Columbus on March 2-3.  Sarah and Kerrigan(Little Evil) will be doing their second ever full power meet as guest lifters on Friday. Joe Ceklovsky and Mike Wolfley will be doing the Bench Bash on Saturday.  Wolfey, he’s a BIG bencher.  Then my freind and lifting partner Janet Ferone.  I’ll have more after the meet for you right here on Muscle Update.

I have to say, "Wow!" to Autumn Raby IFBB Canadian pro bodybuilder.  Nice physique baby.

I just finished watching "My Flexing Season 1 & 2"  Nicely done DVD’s.  I particularly like Part II, there are some things in there that only a seasoned bodybuilder would understand, like when Autumn is heading for weigh-ins for the Candaina Nationals and stops for a bite to eat and get’s a wrap…Her comment "you have no idea how good this wrap tasts.." Oh yes I do Autumn! Yes, I do!  I couldn’t help but laugh because I know all to well.  These videos ducument Autumn Raby’s trip through bodybuilding but they are also good for posing information and instruction. So, if you need some assitance posing these tapes will help. Autumn is an outstanding poser, any show would be glad to have her.  She plays to the crowed, and that’s special.

Yes it’s February, that means Valentines Day, Heart Day, or what ever you call this fun filled day of goodies, cards, and flower giving.

Most of you are either getting ready to leave or your already at the Ironman FitExpo which is this weekend, Friday the 16th and Saturday the 17th. If I was I’d be hanging out at Scott Mendelsons Bench Classic, just to see some BIG iron lifted.

Check out What’s NEW this Month here at Bodybuilding.com.  Well, 2007 is off and running and so are all us serious lifters getting ready for our brand of competition either bodybuilding or powerlifting! What’s New!  Well have you heard the recent FDA ruling regarding the marketing of nutritional and weight loss products?  Can anyone explain or maybe shed some light to me WHY a $19 billion supplement industry cannot STOP idiots in congress, the FDA, or the senate.

Allot of you will be going to the 2007 Arnold to see the shows or be in them and of course to check out the expo, always my favorite.

If Joe Gold came back from the dead, he would probably hunt down ihis old partner for selling his World Gym chain to a group that is as welcoming to bodybuilders as Disney is to Stephen King! The entire World gym franchise has been sold to an east coast health club chain that hold dumbbells that apparently peak at 60Ibs and are currently going to court over a matter concerning one of its members being banned after he grunted a little when he was deadlifting 500Ibs. This club has an alarm said to be one of Planet Fitness’s main feature to keep Bodybuilders from germinating their compounds. This alarm button is for members to press should there be any individuals dropping weights too firmly, grunting to loudly or a possibly lifting a weight that could intimidate others. WTF!

On the new World Gym web site it states "an intellegent aproach to fitness!" Give me a break what a bunch of geeks in sheeps clothing.  I knew Joe Gold and I feel sorry for the man, he built this for "bodybuilders" and you idiots that claim main stream is best are destroying our gyms and our bodybuilding. Wow!  People in this organization need ot step up and eckowwledge that this is a klick and we don;t belong in the so-called main stream. That’s why more and more peopel are building home gyms, garge gyms, and their own hard-core pits because they cannot go anywhere else.

My friend and Metal Militia lifting partner Janet Ferone is invited to the Arnold WPO Bench meet. I am so very excited for her and happy for her too. Janet has done an official 330 pound bench press. I was there, I saw it! Easy, smoke show for her. Janet recently did the WPC Worlds to qualify.  I’ll keep you all posted on her numbers.
