A couple weeks in

So I’ve been following this new lifestyle for a few weeks now and I must say I am very happy with it. My bodyfat hasn’t changed as much as I would like (but I think everybody wishes it would change/decrease faster), yet my muscularity has shown NOTICEABLE growth!

For someone that has lifted for over 5 years, seeing noticeable muscle growth is exciting! My body feels denser and my muscles look fuller…probably since I am feeding it right for once! What’s nice about this lifestyle is that I can adapt it to my goals (muscular w/ six pack), for example, this week I have really been working on WHEN I take my carbs, since when I have carbs (and what type of carbs) effects my insulin levels (which raises blood sugar levels and if the sugar is not used, it is stored as fat).

I’ll be sure to take new pics soon…now if only that sun would come out so I could get a tan!

Arnold Classic & New LIFESTYLE

Last weekend I went to the Arnold Classic with my boyfriend. I’ve been twice before and love getting all the free samples, pics with pros, trying new equippment etc.

Besides all the great free stuff, I got to meet Milos Sarcev & Family. I love Milos’ training on thefitshow and my boyfriend and I were excited to meet him. We thanked him for all his free knowledge and ended up buying a 3-disk DVD from him that had a 2 hour nutrition segement “Secrets of the Pros”.

The nutrition was amazing and finally, for the first time ever…even after 5 years of lifting, I understand what it takes to EAT RIGHT. (I’m getting my Masters in Exercise Physiology btw). Now I plan my meals (more or less) the night before, pack food with me to have throughout the day, and truly feel like I am feeding my body right. I plan to make this new eating (mind you I said, “eating” and not “diet) as a part of my lifestyle…for the rest of my life.
