Sweet Progress

May 22, 2008

I had a great week. All five of my workouts went very well. I’m looking forward to two days of rest, so I can come back strong next week. I’ve been getting quite a few compliments at work that let me know I’m making progress. I’m sure I’m gaining lean muscle mass because my weight hasn’t changed and everybody thinks I’m loosing weight. I’m eating six clean meals a day and feeling great. I will continue on my fitness journey. I wish you all the best and have a great holiday!

Life Is Good

May 20, 2008

I had a good workout today. I completed a 20 minute stability ball routine, 30 minutes of cardio on the tread mill and 20 minutes of abs/oblique work. Chest, shoulders and triceps are on tomorrow’s menu. May has been a good month so far. I missed working out the entire month of April due to an injury. Twenty days into May and I’ve completed 15 workouts. I’m eating clean and feel great. Now it’s just a matter of time and I should be hitting my targeted goals. Wishing all continued success on the fitness journey!

Fit For Life

May 14, 2008

Workouts are going extremely well. I have recovered from my injury and I’m working hard to get on track to achieve my goals (increase muscle mass & reduce BF to 15%). I’m consistently fine tuning my diet, eating healthy and frequently (every 3 hours). I feel it’s just a matter of time now, the transformation I’m seeking doesn’t happen overnight. I am committed and determined. Thanks to all of you on this site that share your journey and experiences. May the force be with us!!!!

Workouts are now in alignment. I need to fine tune my daily diet. I feel good and expect to start seeing positive gains soon. I don’t have a desire to compete; I just want to be the best I can be. I’m committed to being “fit for life”! Wishing you all (reading this blog) the best in your fitness and other life endeavors.

On Target!

May 8, 2008

I continue to tweak my workouts to get optimum results. Today I hit Back, Traps and Biceps. I think my workout scheme (exercises, sets and reps) was right on. Hopefully my Chest, Shoulders and Triceps routine will provide similar muscle stimulation. My cardio routine is on target too. Hope to start seeing dividends soon. “May the force be with me”!

One Day At A Time

April 30, 2008

Started physical therapy today. The therapist was very knowledgeable and provided several helpful pointers to assist with my training goals.

I completed 45 minutes of moderately paced cardio and it felt great. Tomorrow’s workout will be full body resistance training. I’m committed to getting back on track to accomplish my goals of 15% body fat and increasing lean muscle mass.

Change Of Plan

April 29, 2008

Change of plans: instead of cardio today I attacked back and biceps. Due to my work schedule I made an adjustment. The second day back in the gym went well. My injury kept me sidelined for a month. I can’t wait to get fully re-acclimated so I can begin to see transformation and gains. Tomorrow I have physical therapy and I will get some cardio work in.

Back In The Game

April 28, 2008

Doctors cleared me to get back in the gym. Today was my first resistance (chest/shoulders/triceps) workout. It felt good to be back in the game. Tomorrow will be dedicated to cardio (stationary bike & tread mill). I can’t wait. I still have some restrictions in effect, but any training is better than being on the sideline watching.
