Holy ****!

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Okay, so my camera is out of order, I should have another one in a day or two so I can’t take a picture of my bicep but— oh my goodness.  I didn’t know it was even possible for my arms to get this big.  Actually, they are bigger than what I would like but as I continue to cut (8 weeks out) I think they will be just the right size for the show.  Thanks Gaspari for "buffing me up"!

Starting the 2nd week on the Stack.

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Okay– so I did a hardcore 2-1/2 hour total body workout this afternoon.  Push-ups, pull-ups, arms, bleacher sprints, jump-ups, you name it.  It was fun (wait did I just say fun?)  okay it was satisfying :)   I am 8 weeks out from my show, yikes.  Fish and veggies, fish and veggies.  Food is fuel, food is fuel.  It is only 8 weeks right.  I can do without peanut butter for 8 weeks.  Hell yeah!!  Where your mind goes, your body will follow.  I can do this thing, again.  Anyone else out there struggle the 2nd time around ’cause you know how hard it is?  I would love to get some encouragement with this struggle if you have been there :o )

Fried!

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Okay these supplements are helping me kick it up a notch and I am totally fried.  My muscles have not felt this ripped in months.  I love it, my shoulders are tighter and I am getting leaner.  The Superpump250 really gets me going and pumps me up (hence the name).  Gotta get to bed and rest these poor muscles.

Already feeling tighter!

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

I have never really used too many supps and have certainly never done a stack.  I have really only used a little creatine and whey (and multivitamins, oils and minerals) but never a hardcore supplemental line up.  I have to say, in just 3 days, I feel tighter, more energetic and excited about where this is going to take me.  It is late and I need to rest but please check back and follow my progress while I am on the Gaspari stack :)

SUPERPUMP

Monday, May 12th, 2008

Day 2 of my Gaspari stack and I am feeling great.  I am absolutely loving the Superpump and can already tell a difference in my last 2 workouts.  I did shoulders this morning and was pumping out some serious dropsets all the way to the end.  During my strength training workout drank my SizeOn and then had an awesome cardio session.  Sprints on the bike and then the Precor.  Did pretty well on the diet today, got to enjoy my favorite–Orange Roughy with a spritz of "I can’t believe it is not butter".  I had some rice crackers this morning after my workout (shhh! don’t tell my trainer) but they sounded so good.  Tomorrow I will be better and trade the crackers for my serving of cream of rice.  I tend to like that better than oats when I am cutting.  Oats can tend to bloat me.  Anyway, feeling great excited to see my progress pics in a week.  I think I am going to see a difference!!

First day of Gaspari Stack!

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

Today was my first day of an 8-week Gaspari Stack.  This morning I started out my day with some Superpump250 preworkout.  The product tastes awesome!  I was actually disappointed when it was gone :)   Did cardio and then legs.  During my leg workout I drank some Size On.  The name has intimidated me a bit because the last thing I want is too much size but I have been assured it will not make me big.  Another great tasting drink.  After my postworkout meal I took a couple Cytolean which really helped to elevate my mood and keep me energetic all afternoon.    All in all I feel pretty good.  Time will tell with my physique but I feel good.  Doing shoulders in the AM and am excited for a serious crank out!   I will blog about how that goes day 2.  Have a good night.

10 sets of 10!

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Anybody looking for a good lat burn?  My training partner and I do 10 sets of 10 pull-ups (5 wide grip, 5 close in) for a great start to a back workout.  Actually we are pretty fried by the time we do pull-downs but try it for a good burn. Did the workout tonight and I’m feeling pretty good.

It is week 4 of our company Fitness Challenge that I developed for our team.  We have 30 people on board and so far we have lost 134 pounds!  Everyone is doing great but I can tell that people are starting to lose steam.  If there is anyone out there that has done a corporate fitness challenge, any ideas would be appreciated!

Oh, my!

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Okay, so I was in a rut for a couple days.  Just felt so tired at the gym and my diet was nothing to brag about.  I must have been fighting a cold or something but I am feeling so much better.  Did some HIT this morning and got called the energizer bunny.  I guess I can’t argue, I give 110% each day I am in the gym.  Any less and I feel that I am cheating myself, I mean why just waste an 1-1/2 to 2 hours because you didn’t get it in your head that you were in it for the burn!

Continuing to lean out but I think it is so interesting how you can look in the mirror and look like you are getting shredded and 6 hours later you are retaining water.  Anyone else get that feeling sometimes –the feeling your body is like a roller coaster with the bloat and water retention.  Also, does anyone else feel like their muscles are holding onto water after a really grueling strenth training session?  (I am not on creatine but I get that feeling anyway).

Okay so I am on FIRE!

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Doesn’t feel so good when, after working your ass off in the gym several days in a row with only moderate results, you have that day when you start to feel the burn.  I mean the feeling that your body is a fat-burning machine?  I got that tonight, burn baby burn.  It felt so good. I did interval training for an hour, running the track for a couple laps, walk, then 5 minutes of some heavy duty step mill, walk the track, then 5 minutes heavy duty elliptical.  I was glistening :)   It wasn’t just the the workout but the clean diet it makes all the difference.  I am 10 weeks out from my contest so this is feeling good.  It was that motivation of a good workout that helps me keep my eye on the prize.  Oh and my ass is getting tighter too and that is definitely encouraging as I think about my next comp (genetics are not in my favor in that area).  :)

First weigh in

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

We had our first week’s weigh in for the Fitness Challenge I started at work.  31 people signed up (far more than I had expected)  and we lost 94 pounds the first week!!!  Wow, people are taking this seriously and people already look like they feel better.  This has been a really encouraging experience for me and I am glad that I went ahead and started the challenge.  For a while now, people at work have been inspired by my transformation and have asked so many questions so I saw this challenge as a way to share my knowledge and help people get to the next level.  What I didn’t anticipate was the motivation it has given me as I approach my next comp.  The energy that we provide each other through the challenge is incredible.  I am a little less than 11 weeks out and cutting so I need all the help I can get :)   Had a great bis and tris work out this morning along with my normal cardio.  Legs tomorrow so I better get some rest.
