Calories……….

Im not going to delve into this too much as I am in the middle of writing an article on calorie consumption. I just want to say do not rely solely on the # of calories you consume as a guide for losing weight.  there are good calories and empty calories.  Keep this in mind………a 100 calorie cupcake vs. a 100 calorie piece of chicken.  One goes straight to your body the other straight to your ass and thighs.

I did not work out last a nightA girlfriend  was in town and we went out to check out a new lounge at the casino.  It was lame on a thurday night, so we hit the other casino instead.  Did a little bit of dancing and some window shopping as well, but hey, it was a thursday so not much fun in CT.  But then, CT is hardly ever fun.  I had a stressful morning yesterday.  I woke the a massive thunderstorm and downpour…..total BUCKETS of rain and when I went out to my car……..well……holy crap……..my freakin sunroof was open!!! It was hot the day before and I left it open and just totally forgot when I came in the house to go back out again at night and close it.  Im now stuck with a car that smells like a wet towel in a washing machine and if I need to roll up my windows aND LEAVE IT i GET CONDENSATION ON THE inside OF THE CAR.  Oh well, live and learn.

Im pretty lean right now and I dont think I went quite this lean at all last year. Im sort of the lean from my 1st year I guess.Not owning  a scale I am guessing 118-119.  Funny, I weighed this last year, but with more muscle this year i didnt have to be so lean for a lower weight.  I told you competing messes with your head.  After Nationals in 2 weeks I get to be "off" until OctoberBack to my happy 125 weight.  The  crappiest part about the "dieting" is the picnic food I am missing.  yes, I eat it in the summer.  I cannot resist potato salad…….its my thangggg.  I have to go to a family picnic tomorrow like everyone else and its a combo bithday for me, my great nephew and my great niece, plus 4th of July of course.  

I will be in the gym tonight of course.  I havent trained in a couple days, but I needed a break as my body is wiped from going 2x a day. This is the time when you are weak and risk getting sick because it lowers your immune system.  Im sure it will be dead in there and I am going to tape some video on supersets and practice posing.  I think I need to always practice……I always think there is room for improvement. In this sport you can think you are the ****…..but only for as long as your next show!!!
