What are women supposed to do?

Oh, someone wrote to me and suggested I spend money on health insurance for my kids instead doing photoshoots.  Point I am making here…….I have never paid for a photoshoot !!!  I get all my pictures for free.  In return the photographer gets to use them as he/she sees fit.  So, please dont think I am throwing all my money away and neglecting my kids.   Insurance thru my work is $500 a month and I cant spend a weeks pay on it! Right now, I think food and shelter is kind of important (and my youngest has it through his father.) I am not the only American without health insurance and luckily my kids are very healthy and hardly have ever been ill.  (fingers crossed).  I am working towards a better future and sometimes you just have to appreciate what you have for the time being, right?

Oh, i FORGOT ABOUT MY TRAINING WHILE i WAS BABBLING ON ABOUT THE EMAIL. lAST NIGHT i WENT BACK TO HEAVY ON MY ABS AND i AM SOOOOOOO SORE. cAPS LOCK AGAIN…..ooops.  I did everything weighted and went up to 140 on the kneeling cable crunches…..ow……I also got some very nice emails from some ladies who are seeing their abs pop from trying a weighted abs routine for awhile.  You rock ladies!!!

Tonight I was having some back issues.  i think my lyme is flaring up a little, but went anyways and trained shoulders.  I did hammerstrength machine presses, cable rows to the side across the body, pull ups, threw in a little upright rows on a machine for back to help work out the stiffness and some dumbbell shrugs as well. I always do some dumbbell curls and lateral raises in between heavy sets to keep busy.  I probably socialized too much with the gym manager, but he wants me to write a testimonial for an ad or the website or something.  He tells people to stop doing too much cardio as well. I gave a guy in my gym some training tips, got him to stop doing too much cardio, modified his carb intake, he is now using superpump250 and Novedex and the manager noticed he was getting more ripped up!!!  The same guy told me 2 guys asked him if he was on steroids the other night because he is changing very fast, he was insulted, but it is kind of a compliment if something thinks you look so good you must be "cheating"….when you arent!!

Anyway, not alot to report tonight.  Kind of a boring day, no bug up the nose, no dead mice stories……..so sorry!!!

I like the idea of weighted ab work. I have been having trouble with my abs, not coming out, so I’m going to give your idea a try. Thanks for being so smart! :-)

Ahhh I have to say the medical system in the US is the one thing that makes me soooo nervous! My kids are always healthy too….thank god. But in Canada we dont have to worry if we do end up in the hospital for a week…and our meds are all but covered too…hmmm…maybe I should rethink Texas and just go back out to British Columbia!??? lol

Awesome on the guy that is making such improvements!! I think people always are too quick to jump to ‘roid’ conclusions when men start packing on mass….after 7 years in a gym…honestly I’ve only seen two guys using it…and it was BEYOND obvious…and I have seen many many other men grow in leaps and bounds from supps and proper lifting!!

Wow!, that was a mouth full. :) When your successful people will alwaystry to " hate on you". Thats often how I can tell i am doing good becuse some ppl will try to throw negative comments about why I’m succeding. All you can really do is look at their negativity, Laugh and keep doing your thing. Keep looking great and doing your thing mama. :)

Wow, keep hanging in there. That’s great that one of your kids has health insurance. One day things will get better for you.
I am going to start doing weighted abs again. There’s almost no fat on my stomach, which I think must be genetic, but my abs don’t really pop out and I want them to!
    Take care.

Yup you know you’ve made it when you got haters! lol
I must agree I still can’t believe how the U.S. medical system is! But you have proper health and nutrition on your families side, so you’ve lowered your chances of illness right there! I must agree with the weighted ab exercises, I hear people saying not to do them and it wont do your abs any good… but I think that’s all BS! lol Keep it up girl!!

If the person who made the comment actually read your blogs, she would have known that you don’t pay for photoshoots.
Nasty people never bother finding out the facts first…

On to abs, I will have to e-mail you a pic, I do weighted ab work and even though I am not down to my ideal weight, I can see abs, yippeee !!! hehehe…

Fern I appreciate all you do…
    Thank You.

Fern, you hit the nail on the head. As long as you and your kids are healthy, health insurance doesn’t matter and the money is better spent on food and shelter. The odds are far in your favor.

Much of this health care stuff is overblown and if Canada’s system is so great, how come so many people there cross the border to the US because they can’t treatment up there or have to wait in line for months?

    No Fern, YOU rock!!
Thanks for helping my abs ‘pop’ :)
