“No I do not have a tapeworm”
This is what my 7 year old says when he yet again asks me for something to eat. He eats so often……..proverbial grazers…..little people. So, why am I talking about this? Well, like I have said before, you look at other people and other societies, see what they eat and how they eat and use it for yourself. If you are a parent you obviously look to your kids. Little kids are notorious for saying they are hungry every hour and they stay lean unless they are eating junk. This is their biggest growing time. Upon noticing this and I have tried what I refer to as a constant feed day. Studies show that sipping on a protein shake for longer periods of time is better for protein asorption, but thats just disgusting and not practical. So, I will sometimes eat a very small amout of protein every couple hours. Its like 2 boiled eggs, then a few bites of chicken breast, then a shake, etc. Sometimes its every hour. I know it isnt practical for some people whose jobs dont have kitchens available, but I can just say I am running to the bathroom and pop a boiled egg in my mouth. Its just something different for me to do. If I stay on the same "diet" too long, I know it will stop working.
People’s diets here are sometimes overkill. Too much thinking, too much calorie counting……I dont think its calories so much as WHAT people eat. Everyone has different metabolisms, different rates of digestion, we are different sizes and bodyfat ratios…..so obviously we have different needs. 2 people using the same diet and exercise routine will have 2 different results. So, if your best friends diet isnt working for you, try something else..it is not your fault. You need to have 1 gram of protein per lb of bodyweight minimum for "toning" and 1.5 to 2 grams per lb for muscle building. Protein also helps maintain muscle while losing fat, even Special K has realized this and now has protein water and bars. A lean body burns calories and has a higher metabolism, so once you are leaner, it gets easier. This is probably why I do not really need cardio at this point. I am doing it pre show to try to lean up my legs and still get some "cardio type" workout on my 1st sets in the weight room.
Last night I did some abs and lats. I am trying to lay off my obliques to appear to have a smaller waist. My obliques are seriously genetically thick, but not necessary for figure anyway. I didnt know what to do with muyself!! I did some incline situps, hanging leg raises , used the lat machine, lat pulldowns, single arm pull down /crunches on cables and kneeling cable crunches. Then I did 10 on the step mill, got bored, so I did 15 on the treadmill and read a magazine. I also threw in some db’s for shoulders to practice my backstage pump. I do admit to slugging down 1/2 a scoop of SizeOn pre workout and it seems I was not as "flat" as I have been lately. As I have said before, I am going to try to take the Superpump250 to the stage. I will be waterdepleted, so I will sip on some. I want to get a pump because it makes your shoulders look so much better and rounder.
Anyway, gotta go. My kid is banging me on the head to get off here and help him look for his Bionicle. He’d lose his head if it wasnt attached.
