Twas the night before….

Surgery and all through the house, every creature was stirring but HELL NO not the mouse!  LOL- I am finishing up all my stuff prior to my surgery tomorrow.  I go in at 8am so should be wrapped by noon!  I hopefully can sign back in to check my email and stuff on Friday, but who knows… 

Today was my "last chance" workout.  Did leggies yesterday (killed them) so today I did a bit of shoulders, abs and cardio.  Took the pup for a 4 mile run (I was more like DRAGGING him home the last mile!) since I won’t be running with him for a few weeks.  :(

Anyhew, off to finish up mixing my protein shakes.  Gotta stick with the plan!  My hubby comes home in less than 40 days now!  I hope he recognizes me!

I have lost 17 pounds, 12% bodyfat since August last year- ONE HELL OF AN ACCOMPLISHMENT I’D SAY!

Thanks to all of you for motivating me to get with the plan and make it happen!

Sunday- My rant for the day…

OMG!  So I am so excited about my upcoming surgery AND I am so pissed at the same time…  Why is it that the LEANER I get, the more pronounced this damn cellulite is on my hams???  It is just not budging!  What can I do about it?  I am hitting legs 2X a week, sticking with my clean diet and killing it with cardio.  Am I just destined to have this issue???

Anyone else out there with this problem?  At this point I would pay millions to get rid of it!!!  It is so frustrating!

Tonite- Back, Biceps and Abs baby!!!

Another supercharged workout despite the "No Superpump" order from my damn meanie doctor!!!  LOL- my husband was concerned cuz he KNOWS that I don’t typically listen to the dr. and just do my own thang, ya know?  I was cycling on Creatine and apparently was not drinking enough H2O (I guess I needed to drink more than a gallon!!) cause my face was breaking out, my hair was FALLING OUT and I was getting cramps in my calves and toes…  SO, I did 5 weeks on and now it is time to cycle off and check my progress.  By the time I go back on in 8 weeks, my hubby will be here to monitor my progress AND he is going to train me (I dread it cause he is so hard on me!!!- but I love it and him :) )  so hopefully we can get this lower body whipped into summer shape!  My upper body is getting really lean and cut, can’t wait to see it after a few weeks!  Post op and diet :)

Ok, so today was back and bi night a little bit of abs and cardio…  Ah, cardio…  I feel like a freakin hamster, but whatever it takes!  Did lots for back and 5 exercises for Biceps.  Abs was plate sidebends (25lbs), v-ups (4 sets of 20), crunch machine (not weighted)- did about 10 minutes for obiliques and rectus abdominis.  Followed with a jog/walk on the tread at 3% incline.. 

Since I will be laying off the chest work, I am hitting each bodypart 2X a week until next wednesday (my last workout!!!) then I will be off 2 weeks recouping.

Tomorrow is usually my off day, but I will do calves, traps and some light shoulders+cardio.  LOVE IT BABY!

Over for another quarter.  Just finished the fruit fast.  Thank GOD!  I really killed it in the gym tonight, even without my superpump!!!  Dr. wants me off all supps from here on out til next Thursday (D- Day- lol).  So I was wondering why the hell my workout was so supercharged?  FRUIT!  Tons of sugar baby….  I am glad it is over, I really miss my chicken and oats!!!  Looking forward to tomorrow when I can have my eggwhites and oatmeal.  YuMMY!!! 

Ok, one beef then I will log off for the night.  I am REALLY tired of some women who shun those of us who flaunt our "assets" if you know what I mean.  Those of us WITH BOOBS do have a brain, we DO know there is more than that to us and don’t need someone WITHOUT them pissed off and denouncing us for it, THEN going and getting their own- HYPOCRITICAL. 

Ok, I feel better now!

WOW!!! INothing in the world like Naked…..

chicken!  :) LOL- got your attention huh?  No really, 2 posts in one day WOW!  Actually I am doing my quarterly fast and freakin STARVING!  So, to keep my mind off of food, I thought I would blog.  AND I was just daydreaming about naked chicken.  You know, beautiful salt free breasts!!!  Grilled, boiled, whatever I can’t WAIT to eat it!!!  I am not sure why I am having such a difficult time on the fast this time.  First time was a cinch!  Actually I am loading on creatine and really lifting heavy (for the past few weeks) just getting my strength up prior to my surgery (so I can come back easily after a few weeks).  SO- with just fruit juice and some fruit, my sugar stores were SOARING!  I kicked some serious booty in the gym.  My fabulously SEXY hubby ;) put a new split together for me, I was really overtraining and losing strength.  Here is what it looks like:

  WEEK 1 <strong /> <strong /> <strong /> <strong /> <strong /> <strong />

Ok, I know I am majorly anal about my spreadsheets!!!!  I actually did Shoulders, Traps and Calves today since I took yesterday off.  I really pushed it hard!  I did smith presses and maxed it out.  Last 2 sets were reps of 8 AND I almost dropped the freakin bar on me I was shaking so hard! 

Then I did HIIT on the treadmill.  A walk/run combo (2 min walk, 2 min run) on incline of 6.  SMOKIN!

Fruit Detox Fast- Day 1

Ok, day one on the fruit liver/detox fast…  My nutritionist told me I should do these once per quarter to give my body a break from digesting all that protein!  SO- I went to the grocery store yesterday and loaded up on my goodies!  I am planning on a 5 day fast this time, but will be happy with 3.  I am going to see how I am feeling on day 3 to determine if I can make it to the 5th day!!!

Here is what I am doing:

I made a "fruit cocktail" of sorts to eat during the day (yes, I am still staying true to my 6 meals a day)- this is apples (I love fuji ones!), red grapes, blueberries, grapefruit, peaches and nectarines.  I cut them all up and put them in a huge tub.  That way I can just grab a bowl when it is time for my meal. 

Now, for the cleanse part here is what I do:

1 gallon of mix per day- I use filtered water, organic lemon juice (about 1/2 the bottle per gallon), pomegranite juice (about 1/2 bottle per day), 1/2 jar of liquid milk thistle and 1/2 jar of dandilion.  I mix all that up and drink it through out the day.  Yes, you will be peeing every other second, that is ok!  This is to cleanse the liver and remove all the toxins.

If you want to do this, I would highly suggest that you detox the colon first (I do a 10 day cleanse).

So, it is 10am here in H-town and time for my 2nd meal.  I will report tomorrow on day 2.

Dieting Down- HARD!

UGHHHH!!!  The joys of dieting down..  It’s not just for competitors anymore!  Yes, I am hitting the diet hard for the next two weeks.  I am trying to drop a few more pounds and drop my BF down prior to my surgery.  Apparently I won’t be able to lift heavy for a while.. Ok, so I can do legs about 3 weeks after BUT can’t do chest or any overhead types of lifting for around 5-6 weeks.  HOLY CRAP!!!  I am really starting to develop some GREAT shoulders and back muscles and leaning out so I HATE to lose that! 
I am hoping that as long as I keep my diet in check and stay away from the sugars and simple carbs, I will not lose too much muscle…  I will also need to hover around 1400 cals to maintain, w/o any cardio…  I am usually around 1200-1300 Cals per day when I diet down..  Day to day (maintenance) is around 1400-1600 cals.
The good news?  I can do cardio after a week- just the recumbent bike and walking BUT it is better than noting! 
I am hoping to have some new progress pictures taken in April so stay tuned!!
