Training Day…

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

So yesterday after our workout, I got weighted and I ended weighting 156 lbs. WOW! gained 6 lbs…that sucks.

This morning I thought my legs and butt were going to fall off :) this is what we did.

30 min eliptical

Using 10lb weights, 4 set of 15

Standing lunges x 2

Standing lunges, pulsing 2 times x 2

Ok let me explain this one….Basically stand on your side with arm extended on wall and left opposite leg for 30 count leg left,after 30 count go right into squats 15 count.

1 min. closed leg wall squats

1 min. wide leg wall squats

Ahh! Those workouts really work your inner,outer legs, glutes, and hips. You can definitely feel it the next day. 

Nothing else exciting going on. This weekend Wyoming Football going on in Tennesse and once again brother-in-law starting, yeahhhhhhh!Well until next time….Peace!

Another training day

Hey guys, yesterday we trained with our trainer again and it was just a 35 min session that about killed me.We were suppose to be there at 2pm, so my husband decides that he wants to get chinese food and it takes 25 min for us to get it and then we had to drive another 10 min to get home so by that time it was 1:15pm. I hadn’t eaten since about 8:00am (i know thats bad) so I had to hurry and eat then go to the gym (bad idea).So this is what we did:

3 sets of 15

pull ups (with help of course)

using cable machine we worked arms

(2) 10lb weights standing lunges

Side lunges 

that’s what we did in 35 min and my heart rate was out of control. I didn’t finish the last set of legs because i started feeling sick,hot,and light-headed at the same time so I know it was time to stop and take a breath (im glad i did). I really don’t know what happened maybe it was because i really didn’t eat or i ate of fast. I should have eaten at least 2 hours before working out my trainer said. Well besides that nothing to more exciting did do anything for Halloween or this weekend at that (what a boring weedend).

Well my favorite college football team is Wyoming just because my brother-in-law plays QB there and Saturday he didn’t an awesome job so I was pretty excited for that! Well I guess that is all for today until next time….Peace!

Training Day 2 - Legs

Hey everyone…So last night we finally got to train with the trainer again she had to cancel our session for last week for some reason so we started up Monday. We didnt get to do our assessment either but I we are getting it done on Wednesday, Im scared. I hope I at least dropped some BF. She also said she is going to weigh us every Thursday to see were we are at.

So here it is the leg workout. Remember each exercise is 3 sets of 15:

Elliptical on level 7 for 45 min.

Leg Press 120 lbs.

Leg Extensions 37.5 lbs

Seated hamstring curl 50 lbs.

*I hope the next workouts make sense* LOL!

Using a flat bench as a stepper place one leg on bench, step up with other leg and tap bench with top of foot and do same with other leg.

Standing squats with 10 lb weight between legs after each 15 count hold squat for 8 seconds and up. ( these burn)

Standing lunge with 10 lb on leg you are working on after each 15 count pulse for 8 seconds and push up. (these burn too ouch!)

Well there you go the leg workout. Its Tuesday and my legs are not as sore as I thought they were going to be thank god! Im really like this working out with a trainer we certainly get what we pay for and im looking forward to New Years because she said that if we workout with her and eat clean we should be body changing results! Yeah… Im excited and ready. Well until Wed…..Peace!

Training Day 1- Arms

So yesterday was the first day my friend and I worked with our personal trainer…and it was something else! OMG…my body was so worn out last night after we were done that when we had to fill out some papers both of our hands were shaking like crazy and our handwriting looked like crap :) I told my trainer what my goals are and I told her that right now I weight 153, yeah thats right 153. She said she wants me in the 130’s for sure and with me gaining muscle mass I should look awesome. Also, she really doesn’t want us dieting crazy right now,she said that will come later. She wants us to eat alot of fresh fruits and veggies with water expectly until Thursday if we can, she wants our system to get flushed out! EWWW!

But back to my intense workout yesterday, if I can remember this is what we did. Each workout was 3 set of 15 reps:

Butterfly machine ( I think thats what it is) front and back 40 lbs

Bench press machine 50 lbs

Dumbbell overhead press 10 lb dumbells

Triceps using 10 lb dumbbell

Brench tricep dips

(Rotate between brench dip and plank)

Planks in push up position hold 30 seconds arms fully extended

Our gym has a mini track on top so we had the sprint 2 laps and down 2 flights of stairs back up 3 times. OMG! I hated that part I can’t stand running it kills me.

But that was day 1 with the training. Its the next day and I can definitely feel what we worked out yesterday night. Im glad we made it through our first session im ready for Thursday. On Thursday I get another assessment done so hopefully I won’t be disappointed.Until next time…peace!

Wow! Thank you to everyone that commented on my progress pics, it really makes me feel good. I don’t feel so bad after all. I can see a difference in my body and I feel like im losing weight, but losing weight is not my big concern anymore. I don’t know if that is bad or good!

I think im focusing way to much on my abs and upper body, I really need to work out my legs to because I think they are kinda big. In a couple of weeks I’ll be going to the gym and getting my assessment done once again so see exactly what kind of changes I have made on my body fat and weight. I hope I won’t be disappointed. Wish me luck, I’ll let everyone know when the results are in.

Will finally since i can write a blog, on the 27th of July it was a month since i started and by looking at the progress pics i have a long way to go. Last weekend we (me,my husband,and his parents) went to Wyoming to watch a football game that my brother in law plays for, and i ate horrible. So i guess i have to basically start all over again. I need to get my head straight with eating clean because its just getting harder and harder. Well i should be posting some more progress pics at the end of this month so i guess stay tuned….peace!

3 weeks

Wow! So today I went to the gym for a Health Assessment and wow do I have a long way to go. This is what I found out:

Body Age: 27 compared to 26 (I just that’s not too bad)

Body Composition: Weight 146 lbs, Lean Body Mass 105 lbs, Fat Mass 41 lbs = Body Fat % 28.1 (geeeez)

Flexibility: Sit & Reach 11.5 in

Strength: Bicep 50 lbs. (which is average)

In 2 month I can go back and see how much I have progressed and I hope it changes. I know its only been 3 weeks but Im ready for a change. On the 27th I will be putting more progress pics up so stay tuned.

 

Day 8

Sunday, August 3rd, 2008

So I survived my first week and I think I did pretty good. I ate clean, I worked out Monday,Wednesday,and Friday and it felt great! My co-workers say that Im addicted to eating clean, working out and of course Bodybuilders.com :) I guess I am.I have to say I don’t really see any changes yet but Im starting to feel better. I’ve been working out my abs like crazy so I hope I will see some results on Aug 21 when I take my new progress pics. On the 23rd its my birthday so I plan on going out looking really cute and showing off a little something, something :)

One thing that really sucks is I really haven’t had much encouragement so its up to me and I know I can do it. Besides eating clean and going to the gym not alot has been going on. Oh yeah, stupid me literally closed my thumb in my friends car door and it hurt like my mother! and my nail is probably going to fall off but hopefully that doesn’t affect me when I work out with weights. Day 1

Well its the morning after day 1 and Fluffy was right, after starting the meal plan she told me about you will feel like crap and possibily feel like your stomach is eating it self but its ok, in a couple days I’ll feel better! So back to my first day. A friend and I got up at 6:15 a.m. and went to the track which was a surprise but we did it! I hate running so I only ran one lap and power walked the other 3. FYI…we only did a mile because we have to work at 8:30 and 9:00. I basically worked until 6:00 p.m. my job is not exciting at all so…then we went to the gym,had a great work out,came home and ate my delicious meal and called it a night.

Here the meal plan just in case you are wondering:

meal 1

4 egg whites / 1 pkg oatmeal (1/3 cup to 3/4 cup water) / 5 almonds
OR
1 pkg oatmeal / 1 scoop protein powder

meal 2

1 scoop protein
OR
2 turkey pepperettes

meal 3

1 chicken breast / 1 cup salad greens / 1 tbsp oil/vinegar dressing
OR
1 can tuna / 1 wrap

meal 4

1 scoop protein
OR
1/2 cup cottage cheese / 1/2 cup baby spinach

meal 5

8 oz. either chicken or fish / 1/2 cup green veggies

meal 6

1 scoop protein (no exceptions!)
