I expected a lot of competition, but how does a drop of water stand out in the sea? Men's Physique has exploded. There were just as many Men's Physique competitors as there were male bodybuilders. I mean like six divisions and over 200 guys. I was in class D with 47 others. The majority I would say were under 30 years old, and more than a few looked liked they weren't even old enough to have to shave yet. Even Justin Beaver's twin brother on steroids was there. I'm not really hating on anyone. It is just that sometimes things have to slap me right in the face before I take notice. That's how I felt at this contest. I finished nowhere near the top 5.
Okay, so maybe they don't have a Men's Physique for my age, but at least I can do the over 35 category. In fact, I have decided that I'm not going to do any contest that is not at least over 40. Currently I only know of one NPC national level show that has an over 40 Men's Physique and that is the Masters National Championships. As of right now the Masters National is going to be the only NPC show I will enter next year. Should be in June. Looks like it's back to Pittsburgh I go. In the meantime it's back to my daily grind. Well as soon as I get back home anyway. Taking today off. Going to Stone Mountain and maybe find some good BBQ. We will drive back bright and early tomorrow morning. Enjoy your Veterans' Day everyone.
