So Frustrated….
I know what you’re saying, "Aren’t we all frustrated." Maybe so, but I really need to get this out. It all started back in December when my first car (Ms. Lextasy) gave out on me. She was my baby and I hated to see her sidelined. I just wasn’t the same without her.

My transmission, radiator, and engine all went out at the same time. Although, I refused to let this discourage me from working out. So I proceeded to purchase myself a bike so I could have transportation to and from school, the gym, grocery store, ect. Now mind you, I am in graduate school and it is practically mandatory for students to dress professionally at all times. Plus, the trip to school on my bike takes about 1 hour to complete.
So imagine this…a grown man wearing professional dress attire riding a bike to and from school were most of the path takes you alongside automobiles traveling an excess of 50+ miles per hour. I tried to swallow my pride people, but come on…thats ridiculous!
Funny Dog Riding a Bike in JapanAlthough, it wasn’t all that bad because usually in an average day I would be getting somewhere around 3 hours worth of cardio!
Some where around the New Year, I would travel to Florida to visit my family. I updated my mom of my situation and she offered my brother’s old car as a “temporary” solution. It was a ‘94 Honda Accord with over 250,000+ miles on it. I started to refuse the offer, but I thought that it was definitely beat riding the ten speed aroud town, avoiding accidents all day. Before I left Florida, I took it to a local Firestone to have it inspected to see if it could make it back to Alabama.
4 hours went by. Then I received a call from Firestone stating that I urgently needed repairs that would cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200. “Are you kidding me,” I asked. They said about 3 hoses needed to be replaced, my tires were balding, radiator fan wasn’t working properly, timing belt was about to go, plus so many other things that I can’t quite recall at this moment.
I only had the money for the radiator fan so I had that replaced and decided to take my chances with the rest until I had the money to have them repaired. Luckly, the car made it to Alabama with no problems. About to weeks pasted and guess what happened people…yes the got damn timing belt broke. It happened one morning while trying to crank the car in 30 degree weather.
So I had it towed to yes, another Firestone. This time the bill for the new timing belt, plus new heads=$1500.
Damn, Damn, Daaammmnnnn!!!
Back to the old two cycle!
