Today. was a great day!
DH & I had to go to an early school assembly this morning. I had THREE different people come up to tell me how "skinny" or "thin" I am getting.
In the past, some of these comments from "others" were derogoratory. THESE new comments were not, not in the slightest. THESE comments came from our schools "Hot Bod" moms! I gave each one of them hugs & thanked them for noticing.
The "other" moms have accused me of NOT eating!! Can you believe that? No joke, I actually had one say to me "So, & so & I were talking about you and your weight loss." "So what are you doing… Not eating??" Are you F’ing kidding me??? I was so insulted. But I tried to be sweet, (yes, even after THAT comment) that I actually ate 5 to 6 times a day AND worked out 5 to 6 times a week. (sometimes more when I could fit it in…)
So as a result, I refuse to give up! I’m at 14.8% bodyfat & I’m going to show them that someone at MY age can go down to 10% and be smokin;)

Way to go!!! Congrats on all the progress you’ve made, and all of the hard work you’ve done. Last year when I dropped 25+ pounds, I had some parents coming up to me and asking if I was sick…. No, I wasn’t dying, I was finally working out consistently, and doing a better job of building a healthy diet. Keep moving forwards, and enjoy your journey.

that’s seriously pretty cool… i’m six and a half months pregnant right now so i get a real rise out of knowing there are mothers out there who can do it. i’ve never had to worry about anything but myself, so this is going to be a whole new ballgame.. if you can do it with four kids… that definately boosts my spirits!
i don’t think women like you realize how much you actually effect others… i’d feel helpless without hearing things like this blog.

Oh, there is no better compliment than a jealous woman. Now three years after my transformation I am amazed at how my circle of friends totally changed. I think everyone runs into women like that… I call them "haters" and I tell my clients when they start with me..to beware… they are everywhere. Congratulations on passing an important ritual towards your total transformation… you could have succumbed, but instead you are using it as motivation to continue on your journey. More power to ya girl!!

With comments like that, you know you’re on track! It seems the more fit you become, people around (family and friends) them let their insecuries get the best of their tongue. Good to hear that you don’t let it get to you, because yes…you’ve worked darn hard for that smokin’ body! They will either hate you for it, or join you.

Wow I have been getting very similar comments about not eating and I feel like smacking people! But you have to remember the general public are very ignorant on a lot of topics in general. fitness & health, weight loss and what the gym REALLY does for you if you go for other reasons than to socialize are things people just have no clue about. The weight loss "industry" wouldn’t be a multi million dollar one if it weren’t for this mass ignorance on the topic. I know it’s hard but try to be kind to spite how insulting it can feel. Just look at the source and educate.
