Competition prep.
Monday, April 20th, 2009This is my first comp. I keep doing research when I have time. I started part of my new training today and it kicked me in the ass. Gotta love it. Anyway, somedays I have doubt that I will be ready in time. I look at some of the pros wanting to be like them and feeling miles away from that level. I realize they have been training their whole life and then you have someone like me who wants to look like that with a full time job. It may not happen over night it never does, but it will, someday? I am going to give it my all… I love the days where I feel confident and like, I can do this and win… I need to keep that attitude a constant.
I just got this email from a friend and in the subject line, it read- "The art of life" so I opened it and it was a quote that I am going to share since the timing seems so perfect.
” You may be disappointed if you fail,
but you are doomed if you don’t try “~ Beverly Sills ~
I took it as a sign to GO FOR IT with everything I have. It also reminded me of a book I read a few years ago called, “The Unmistakable Touch of Grace” and the one thing I got from that book is that God is constantly sending us messages and signs if we just open our eyes and see them. I love the message!
Have a great week, train hard and you will achieve your goal. Attitude is EVERYTHING!
