Back and Biceps

Gym was kinda empty this morning… Thank God.  Did Back and Biceps, felt good, strong, and had a good workout.  We all know the what’s going to happen tomorrow or most likely January 2nd… when EVERYONE decides to go to the gym… It will most likely only last a month with the extra peeps so lets just ride this out like we do every year.  Have a safe and fun New years eve.  Happy NEW YEAR…   Yeah 2008!  May you be successful in accomplishing all your goals and may everything you touch turn to gold. =0)

Gaspari week 4 Recap

Well, I have to say so far so good… You saw that picture of my abs right?  That was just 3 weeks in… now we are at 4.  woo hoo.  I am getting low on my protein so will have to go get some more, I want to try the strawberry so I’ll pick that up sometimes this week or order from bb.com.  That might even be faster.  Anyway, my moods/mental clarity is great… I have been tired but could be from not enough iron?  I’m going to take extra and see if that helps.  My workouts are good, diet good and I am very happy with my Gaspari products and testing them.  I did notice that I lost a pound this week, hopefully some body fat too.  I’m going to get the correct % when I am finished testing.  2 more weeks…. stay tuned. =0)

Leg day

Nothing gets me in the gym faster than leg day.  I was crunched for time this morning so did the essentials barbell squats, walking lunges, and leg press machine.  I did the squats and walking lunges in a superset fashion so I was pretty exhausted.  I wanted to do more.  I was pumped up on SP but had to go get ready for work.  All in all a good workout and I’m feeling it in the glutes now.  Love it when that happens. =0)

Upper body

Well since the holidays wiped me out, my workouts have been a challenge.  Today was upper body and not only have I lost a pound (not happy about that, trying to gain muscle here) I noticed I lost some strength in my shoulders… yeah… not a good day.  I was on my SP and everything… I will see how leg day goes tomorrow and then week 5 I am going to add more carbs to my diet and do less cardio.  The good thing is that most people would be so happy at loosing weight… I’m sure my body fat is down too, so the products are working great. I just need to use the products to help me reach my goals.  I think because I eat like a machine my body just burns everything for fuel… =0)  Gotta love that.

After the madness…

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and that it was everything you wanted it to be and more. 
I "was" planning on getting in to the gym this morning but decided to sleep in.  I’m sure we all had some late nights the past couple days (i.e.; family, friends, traveling, etc.) So I feel a little guilty for not working out today but I am working my last "late shift 12-8) for the season today and then hopefully, things can get back to normal for me.  I have to admit I have been eating well and I only had one minor cheat meal yesterday (Christmas)  I indulged with a glass of red wine, prime rib with horseradish, a small scoop of scallop potatoes, a bite of Yorkshire pudding, sautéed mushrooms, steamed veggies plain, and a salad with balsamic vinegar.  Not too bad, huh.  After dinner last night then we went for a walk it was freezing to me (40 degrees, that’s cold for a Cali girl.)  Anyway, Today I will take my Gaspari supplements and eat clean.  Tomorrow I will do a push/pull routine to make up the days I missed.  Basically doing back, triceps, chest, biceps, and if time allows abs and cardio.
My friends at work think I’m getting to thin.  I am trying my hardest to ADD muscle/weight.  I think I will add some more food to my diet.  Hopefully that will help.  With my crazy schedule I didn’t eat enough the past few days and I know that… I will be eating like a starving person today.  My family members have all put on a little weight and I didn’t say a word.  I don’t go around preaching to people to be like me… It’s a choice.  I choose not to eat the cheese and crackers, the soda, the dips and chips… etc.  All the while my whole family was eating junk.  I just snacked on the almonds I brought with me.  My Mom said why are you so thin?  Like it’s a bad thing?  I said, “Because I eat well and exercise”.  She didn’t say a word after that.  I have to admit I was shocked to see how much my family has let themselves go.  We are not a close family or maybe I could motivate or encourage them.  I tried a couple years ago with my younger brother (34) got him the Body for Life Book.  Who knows what happened to that?  My Older brother (39) is going to start after the New Year and I have every confidence in him that he will.  So I’m excited for him about that.  You can’t save them all…. My Dad is active and in good shape like me and my Mom….???  Who knows?  I wish she would start taking better care of herself.  Sorry, I know I kind of got on a family rant/venting session…  The moral of the story is… Workout for you, be healthy for you, do not let ANYONE make you feel bad for taking care of yourself or putting yourself and health first.  YOU deserve this gift that we all can give ourselves if we choose too… It’s our choice!

Gaspari week 3 Recap

This week has been a challenge as far as getting in the gym and having enough time for my workouts.  Yesterday was probably the best workout all week.  I ate clean all week except one meal which was still clean compare to real cheating.  I took all my supps.  Fat loss I can see my abs popping out, love them.  At the gym after SP I love the way my body looks.  As far as the Cytolean I really like it.  However I think it has a small effect on my emotions.  Sure work is stressfuil for me at this time of the year however there has been a couple times during this testing, the first time I chucked it up to hormones but this week could be stress… I was just a little on edge moody and emotional.  I take 2 capsules in the am and 1 in the afternoon pretty much everyday.  Other than that… I feel great!!!  Let’s see what happens next week after this holiday stress is over.  Amen to that!

Get to the gym…

I went to the gym to do my leg workout.  I’m sure we all have friends we chat with at the gym and talk and see them when we workout, well I have a friend I only see on Saturdays who gave me a gift today.  THANK YOU!  So the message is… you just never know…  It was a pleasant surprise.

Okay back to business.  Leg day is awesome, love it and I was all pumped on my SP… then I went to tan and get a polish change (red for the holidays)… I’m telling you, I could keep going all day which is a good thing since I have to work from 1 to 9 pm…

Anyway, gotta go make some protein bread for the peeps at work… I’ve been promising them some and it is the season of giving… but as I mention this, I want to share this thought… IT’S NOT THE THINGS YOU DO AT CHRISTMAS TIME… IT’S THE CHRISTMAS THINGS YOU DO… ALL THROUGH THE YEAR.

Reducing cardio

I’m reducing my cardio from 45-60 minutes to 30 minutes tops.  In my opinion, less cardio will be better for me while trying to add lean muscle.

Gaspari week 2 Recap

Well all in all… good week with the product testing.  I ate clean, some of my workouts were not as long as I would have liked due to time restraint but other that all is good.  I haven’t noticed any mood or emotional changes which when testing as a woman and having PMS ect… (sorry guys) may be hard to judge if this is just a bad PMS week or is the cytolean making me emotially crazy… for me.. it’s my hormones and that is the gift of being 36 and knowing my body.  Finally!  Anyway… so yeah no changes in my mood.  I do notice that I am not as hungry.  As for SuperPump, you’all know I love the stuff.  I did have a little tummy ache yesterday but could just be too much protein and not enough greens so I’m going to pay more attention to how I feel after SP next week, I mean I was doing 2 and half scoops and going up to 3?  I ususally leave the gym and feel fine so I don’t know.  I love when I get home and can still see my veins in the mirror puffed up.  Good times.
