Health and fitness should go hand and hand right, not always… for example I unfortunately caught a cold when I got back from my Olympia adventure… even though, it’s just your typical small head cold, and it sucks! I eat clean and work out five times a week… I am a picture of health but this cold snuck in and wow… We all know drink lots of liquid and get rest is the Rx. As much as I wanted to work out I didn’t this week and it bums me out, I drank fat free, low sodium chicken broth and ate my normal 6 meals a day. You know what they say feed a cold… then last night I created some weird experimental get well potion… I boiled garlic, ginger root, one orange, one lemon, and a couple apples. I boiled for about 20 minutes and then let cool. I drank the juice. It didn’t taste bad. I ate some and took extra medicine and went to bed… This morning I feel a lot better. The cold is not gone. It has to run it’s course. However, it was fun playing healer for a brief moment.
