Promise Yourself!

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.  To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.  To make all your friends feel that there is something good in them.  To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.  To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.  To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.  To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and to give every living creature you meet a smile.  To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.  Too be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble…

Body Fat %

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Well first let me start by saying this will be the last time I have my body fat % taken at 24 Hour Fitness… Sure it’s free but I left there depressed and when I walked out I was in tears.  I don’t know if it was my disappointment or the fact that I feel like I on my own and working so hard.  I left there confused and I’m still upset.  I just needed to vent. I’ll be back at it tomorrow… Oh and for inquiring minds he said my body fat was 19%?  I’m going to get a second opinion just to be sure… Hey maybe it is… I do have the campers on my ass… =)

Vacations

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

I recently took a mini road trip/vacation with seven of my friends.  WOW!  I don’t plan on doing that again anytime soon… as a matter of fact I decided to take my next vacation alone.  When your friends don’t work out, and don’t care about what they eat, and don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish it makes what could have been an enjoyable vacation… irritating.

My advice to vacationers:
*Pack your meals ahead of time.
*Make sure there is a gym where you are staying or find one near by.
*Stay focused on your goals.
*Don’t let anyone discourage you.
