I never thought that I would have problems trying to eat 6 small meals a day, but wow, wake up call! I’m slowly learning to like foods that I wasn’t a big fan of before(who seriously eats tuna fish without mayo?) and I’m preparing enough food to feed an army. Sometimes I’m finding it hard to keep up with all the dishes I’m creating, and I know that is driving my mom crazy! As well as changing how I eat, I started taking a whey protein powder 2 or 3 times a day not only to help with my protein intake, but also to help with increase of strain on my muscles. Surprisingly, it doesn’t taste anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be. I’d even go as far as to say that I like the way the strawberry flavor tastes!
My body is still getting used to the increase in physical activity and I’m usually sore the day after I work my arms/chest/back. Those muscles that I didn’t know I had are starting to show some promise. My trainer is giving me the motivation I need, and we have even increased some of the weights during my arms workout.
I think most importantly is the motivation I have gained from the people I have met on here and at the gym. I’m sure any goal seems reachable when you have so many people behind you pushing you towards it. I sincerely thank everyone who has answered my questions/stopped by my page to leave some encouragement/or has pushed me in anyway towards a better me!
I’m holding steady at 4 pounds lost so far, and it is a personal struggle of mine to not step on the scale everyday! I’ve only been in this for about a month, so I’m satisfied with 4 pounds. I know I can’t measure my success based just on my weight and that many other factors play a part, but I can’t help but smile when I see that needed on the scale slowing creeping away from 200. Hopefully soon enough I will get some courage and post some pictures on here of the "before" me so I can have some basis of comparison!
