I wore my new a heart rate monitor this morning with cardio. The normal type with a chest band. I got pretty sweaty but forgot to take it off before i got home adn showered. (So I wore it an extra hour or so.) Then a couple hours later I got a red, burning rash with raised areas. it feels worse than heat rash, more like a reaction to something.
Has anyone ever reacted to a hear rate monitor before? It’s not the first time I’ve used one, though it has been a years.

20 minutes treadimill, running 60 secs at 9.5 k/hr, walking 60 secs at 6 k/h and alternating in between but i'’ve increased the incline to 1.6 instead of 1. (with a prior warm-up)
The increased incline made the exercise harder and did increase the calories burned. i’ll try and bump the speed a bit and then work on the incline a little.
(does anyone ever feel hyper after HIIT?)

20 minutes treadimill, running 60 secs at 9.5 k/hr, walking 60 secs at 6 k/h and alternating in between. (with a prior warm-up and stretch, or course!)
It felt taxing at the end. I didn’t get shin splints though, so I could stand to go faster next time.

So, in 2007 I lost about 230 lbs. In 2008, I need to drop another 50-60lbs, and as part of the 2008 cutting challenge, I need to do it by July 1st.
I’ve started as I mean to go along as far and diet and exercise are concerned:
I’m back on CKD and feeling better for it already. J I just have to tweak those ratios o make sure I get enough fat AND protein a day. Moreover, I should probably get some multi-vits just to boost my intake, although I get my RDAs from food.
I’m back to regular training as well, with my full-body split and cardio incorporated. Got some tips from my PT session on Wednesday that I will begin to incorporate on my next lifting day. I’ve started logging my cardio in my blog too, to keep track of my progress.
Interestingly, now I’m beginning to get compliments from some of the gym regulars, I guess it’s becoming more noticeable now, lol! Though one of the last vestiges of a former fat-girl is feeling self-conscious after a compliment. Oh gosh, I’d better work on that!
So with the training set, I’d also like to de-clutter my flat and get some energy going: throw out all the big clothes and useless junk and simply my life: LIFT, EAT, REST, REPEAT.
LET’S DO THIS!!

20 minutes elliptical, level 6
I haven’t done any cardio for a few weeks so this was just to get back on track. It felt ok and a little bit taxing.

I’m 29 today but for some reason it’s feels more like a countdown to my 30th or something. Perhaps the weight loss and everything makes me feel as if I’m in a transition.
Still, I started it off in the right direction: I fell of the wagon last week after feeling achy and overtrained and I began the day with eating clean, going doing steady cardio and Sauna. I need to keep these lifetime changes going!

I was at my mum’s house yesterday, waiting for her to come home. So I went to the cellar and took out some old clothes, in case they’d go damp down there.
As i was going through the pile, I remembered these were clothes I wore in university and some from a couple of years back. Just folding them and bagging them up made me more determined to fit back into them, particularly the little back dress I wore on my 21st birthday.

I have been doing a full body compound-lifting workout since May and my weights have been going up conisistently.
I’ve stalled for the past few weeks and my failing on my squats. As a quick experiment, I left out the deadlift on Thursday and found my squats were fine. Today I deadlifted at my max but again, squats were weak. So I abandoned it and carried on with the rest of my program.
I’m suppose this would be the right time to split my workout but I need to work out how to do it, and whether to fit in some isolated moves. I’m going to read some of the "starting strength" program and see if that would work, or maybe workout my own split and get some feedback on it.

So this is a sort of milestone (if you have a dry sense of humour anyway
).
This morning at the gym, resting between military presses a guy comes up to me and says, "you know what you should do, the rowing machine and the cross-trainer [eliptical]. tha will help you build the body you want." I’d never even seen this guy at the gym before how the hell does he know what I want?
So I replied in an even tone,"you know what you should do? Mind your own business. I like the way I train and it works for me." "he was like OK, OK.. I’m just saying it will help you more"
So… my first patronising comment about lifting. Though it wouldn’t bother me if it were the last, lol!

Yay me, I can do full press-ups now! I did box press-ups a few months ago but never done any since then. Afew minutes ago, I tried full body pressups out of curiosity and managed a few!
So that’s at least one body weight excerise I can do. I’m going to keep persevering with my assisted pullups untill they’re bodyweight pull-ups
