TRX Suspension Bodyweight Training - Fitness Anywhere
The first time I came across the TRX was last week while at the gym. Two (very fit) girls kept doing hardcore exercises half suspended in the air using the TRX. It looked like the circus at first but once you started to pay attention... man that thing must be a killer for your core and stabalising muscles among others! I am almost obsessed about trying it. I know my shoulders will be killed. :D
I have high hopes about eventually using this system as it seems to be not only smart but also ultra-portable. You can set it up more or less anywhere as long as there's a door (or any item that would be able to suspend you're weight). My problem at home would be the lack of doors. I would have to get the ceiling mount. Then I'd have to pick a room. Living room? Storage room? Hallway? Sure. It will set me back a bit so I'll wait before actually getting it. I'm trying the P90X before doing this one. Can you tell I like trying new things? No telling when anything I've recently ordered will arrive though as the flights to Europe have been grounded for a week already.
And here's more on the TRX, my new fitness dream, in case anyone but me have missed this thing (being in Europe I get to hear all the fun things last):
i love P90X....it is a great workout. i want to do 2 rounds and then do insanity....good luck :0)
I am looking forward to trying it. Hear great things (from you among others my dear!). I am certain I will have to rethink how "fit" I am once I try it. :D
I've had a TRX for over a year now. Give a nice bit of variety mixed in with the weights and other stuff. Really engages your core muscles.
P90X is fun - gives lots of variety - I get bored easily! :)
Beach Body Insanity is the next step up - seriously tough. I'm regularly categorised in testing as an 'elite' level athlete. I found the warm up part of beach body quite hard, lol! :)
Fitness is only relative. You can be gnerally fit, to a degree, but I've seen pro footballers 'die' during a karate class and marathon runners struggle with a bodyweight circuit!
