New Year, New Goals

Recently family events have caused me to re-evaluate my overall physical and mental health. I am going back to my highschool weight of 210 pounds. It will be a difficult journey but one I feel like I am up for. Its 39 pounds so expect it to take me almost the entire year.

Life Management

Monday, February 4th, 2008

Well over the last month I’ve lost something like 15lbs. Unfortunately this has been due to poor habits and stress. I feel kind of like a skinny fat or whatever the hell you call that… I am going on vacation in a week and then I am going to re-focus on my life.

 Things I know about me:

1) I haven’t handled stress well

2) I drink too much

3) I have the ability to make it out of this Fukking hole…

Back to basics!

Well after 6 days off it was back to the iron. It felt great to get back into the swing of things and kick some ass in the gym.

Chest and biceps (Glory!) it was great. Good pace, high volume with good weight. Probably won’t be able to get out of bed tomorrow though.

Case of the Mondays

Ever have one of those days where you just don’t want to be doing what you’re doing? That was my Monday morning at work; I work 16 hours over the weekend so I am suffering some burnout.

Did manage a nice easy 5k though… Need to hit the weights but was just too tired from the weekend.

 

Going to kick some ass tomorrow though. \m/

Not a fun day

Go bothered constantly by work on my day off and I am now doing an email migration instead of sleeping. ^%$(@&*

Being a single parent really sucks at times… Sometimes kids are just plain mean and people offer advice that is worthless. /RANT ;)

 Ran a solid 10K today… Need to get back to lifting but running is such a good destressor.

Feel quite tired today as I have not been sleeping well.

 Worked an arms superset. Good pace with lighter weight and higher reps. Overall I think it was very effective as I had a great pump.

 EZ bar curls supersetted with Skull crushers. 3 x 12

Incline dumbell curls supersetted with Rope tricep extensions 3 x 12-15

Single arm preacher supersetted with bench dips 3 x 12-15

 Cardio:

 2 Mile run HIIT style, alternating sprinting between telephone poles.

June 11, 2007 Workout

Day started a bit rough. My son woke up with a 103 degree fever and I was two hours late for work. I did indeed get on track and get a proper workout in:

 Chest

Incline press 3 x 10-12 (225lbs for 10 last set)

Dumbell Flyes 3 x 12 (55lbs for 10 last set)

Dips 3 x10

Elevated Pushups 3 x15

Abs

10 sets of 10 (various crunches)

 

Cardio

2.7 Mile run
