1 day down 202 to go! So far so good…

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

So far so good!  Well it’s day one, so it had better be a good day!  hehehe… I had an excellent workout today.  I added jump rope between sets.  I was exhausted, sweaty, red-faced, giggly and on a few of the exercises I couldn’t even do my highest weights!  I settled on doing 20 hop/skips between sets.  I started with 25 and started running behind in my lifting and was really winded!  lol…I’ll work up to it.  I can’t believe how hard it is now.  I remember skipping all day as a kid and it never even phased me!  Gotta get back more of that ‘kid’ spirit!

I had my first temptation to skip breakfast today, but I chose to eat it anyway!  My friend woke me up to go to the gym this morning and I almost bolted out the door to join her!  But I sucked it up and had some fibre 1 cereal with a banana.  I can’t forget to eat breakfast, ever.  I look at my little sumo picture every morning when I get up, so I don’t forget!

I’ve been invited to a bbq tonight by some neighbours.  I figure I’ll eat some roughage here first & bring my water bottle with me so I’m not tempted to over do it on carbs & fats over there!  That’s the plan anyway…hope it works.  Actually I should enter it into dieticians.ca and see how I can best keep my fat/protein/carb ratio balanced…and keep everything at 1900 calories!

I’m really frustrated at the people who were supposed to do my yard while I was away, it still isn’t done!  I was gone 10 days and it was sunny the whole time!  and it’s only a day job for one person…and I hired two.   gurrrr…. oh well, what can you do?  But still.  It’s so gorgeous out and I want to set up my pool and putter around the yard.  I have a call into them, hopefully they’ll call back.  I suppose I could hire a couple of day workers and get it all done this week sometime.  Oh well, I’ll take a walk over to the supermarket and pick up some veggies and bread instead…the fresh air should cheer me up.

Not sure what the etiquette is here for blogging, but I want to try to blog once a day…so I have a record for myself of what I did/didn’t do, how I’m feeling, etc

Now to Kick it up a notch!

Friday, June 27th, 2008

So far so good.  I’ve been able to eat breakfast everyday except for two this month, and averaging 4 meals a day.  Breakfast and water were the main goals my dietician and I set for me.  And now, I’m actually hungry in the morning!  Woohoo!

So Starting Sunday, I’ll be focusing on my water and adding another two meals to make it six.  It’ll all start happening soon, I can feel it!

Oh, and I also managed to run for 7 out of the 30 minutes on the tredmill today…not in a row, two minutes were in a row, twice, but still, that’s way more than I used to be able to do!   I’m also up to 200 lbs on the leg extentions, when I started it was 30 max!  Yikes…had to look it up in my history!  I had no idea it was that low, I remember struggling.  I know I’m making progress, I just wish my body would show it!
