Okay, so we got this cream…trying out new products are always fun! Especially when you don’t have to eat them ….This product is supposed to "give your skin a leaner, tighter and healthier appearance by attaching subcutaneous fat through multiple pathways". It’s also supposed to "reduce cellulite, increase skin firmness and elasticity". Well, Kehl’s body lotion costs about the same, so why not, right…The directions say to apply twice daily for the first 60 days. Right after drying off from my shower I apply a little lotion on my abs and glutes. A little bit goes on smoothly a long way, and as promised by the label, it’s greaseless, colorless and odorless. I have been targeting my inner glutes, so a little more lotion there…first mistake. Second mistake, I put on my facial mosturizers. Now my face, eyelids, and butt are on fire. It’s kind of a weird feeling, it doesn’t actually hurt–just feels like i have icy hot on my face and butt. I’m afraid to go to the bathroom now, in case it rubs off on the seat. An hour later, i decide i actually LIKE this burning feeling, it wakes me up more than a cup of coffee….I feel like i have a astringent-soaked cloth on my face, and i feel like i’ve taken a shower in Listerine.

Crappy day with food…missed my am snack, and its 2.20p and i’m just now about to chow on lunch. I finally did a set of incline presses with the 45lbs dumbells…6 reps…YAY!!!!! I was so on cloud nine that I almost forgot about some guests that were coming over…lol…i go to greet them, and they are like, all over 6"4!!!! Geez, i felt like a midget!!!!!! Like, is it a prerequisite to be tall to work at that company??!! 45lbs…yay….ok, chicken now…oh ya i broke my toe two weeks ago, i hope it heals soon so i can stop wearing flip flops to work.

Oh ya. I guess i should start blogging my training so i remember what i did.
This morning i swam for 1/2 hr at the pool. I still suck, but am getting the hang of it! This morning was our team breakfast and egged Peter on to down an entire berry milkshake in 40 seconds for $60. We think he did get brainfreeze, but he didn’t throw up. I was pretty good at breakfast, considering we were at Hobee’s…whole wheat pancakes with turkey omelette and fruit. Trained shoulders this afternoon…accidentally tore the neck off my turtleneck after and was forced to wear my "emergency t-shirt" for the rest of the day.
Yesterday I had a great squat session…21 sets / drop sets of squats…regular, sumo, front, hack…and some drop sets of hammies, too! Did 30 min of cardio on the stair climber in the a.m. and hula lessons after work. Ow. Mental note: no training legs on hula day….

Well, I had my bodyfat tested last week. It went up almost 2% from 12.9 to 14.7. Arrggghhhh…oh well, the brownies were good while they lasted!!! I’ve had a good run of training and cardio recently…I’m getting to increase my weight load, and i’ve started experimenting with drop / super sets. It’s kinda fun!!! From the fattesting report, I’m at a weight now that the judges wanted to see…now it’s all about deciding which shows to do next year. I’m feeling antsy from not competing!
At work, well i helped a fellow coworker with his nutrition. No big deal, just adjusted his calories..he used to eat two or there sandwiches in one sitting, LOL…even on the company freefood@ list!!! Geez! No wonder he wasn’t getting lean His progress is awesome, and now I’ve gotten a lot of requests at work to "help me with my diet"…i’m like, geez, a girl’s only got so much time!!! My solution is to post the calculations in the snack cube and point to it. and if they want any help beyond that they gotta pay!!!!!!!
I also did my boyfriend’s diet. He’s also dropped 20 lbs (and yummier than ever, if that was even possible!!!).
I thought about being a personal trainer for a while in between career changes from entomologist to exec assistant. But after working with a few people, i think it’s definitely not for me…hungry people are so difficult to deal with over an extended period of time! This makes me respect MY trainer even more…mental note to send more thank-you cards next time around…yes, he’s the bomb, but i think the fact that he’s actually able to put up with a bunch of MENTAL PSYCHO chicks makes him the star and worth every penny!!!!!!

I’m so excited, I’m having my bodyfat tested tomorrow. I’m fortunate enough to have a mobile hydrostatic underwater tank here at my work quarterly. The company has a permanant location close to my work, so it will be convenient to keep track of my progress during contest prep time.
I have been using this offseason as an opportunity to stay on a reasonable track to attain my fitness goals. While I have allowed myself to enjoy offseason treats–a night out with friends, and partaking in the birthday cakes, among others, I am so happy that I have been able to do my favorite thing–get to the gym!!!
Man. I have been so exhausted lately balancing work, family and endless drama. Thank god for Phenibut!!! I took a 1/4 tsp last night with a little juice, slept for a full 8 hrs, and feel good as new today.
Time to train…
