Girl..thank you thank you thank you!! I was wondering which veggies and fruits I could have..these carbs are driving me INSANE!! but atleast I have half the battle over with (the veggies..lol). I heard that you arent supposed to eat carbs later in the day (like whole wheat toast, oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potato, and fruits)..is this true..and if it is what am i supposed to eat?! lol
You can definitely eat fibrous carbs (any from the list above) later in the day, even before bed if you feel hungry. It's not a matter of the time of day (i.e. late in the day), but rather a matter of activity level. Most people are relaxing and not doing much later in the day, winding down to go to bed, etc. and that's when it would be a bad idea to take in starchy complex carbs (needless to say simple carbs are a definite no-no in this instance as well). Somebody who has a late martial arts class in the evening for example, would definitely want to be consuming carbs later in the day as energy is required for this type of activity. Hope this helps!
