Y3T Training
I'm at the end of the third cycle of Y3T training, with legs being the last day tomorrow. It's been one of the best programs I have done. The third cycle has really shocked my muscles and my workout partner has never felt this sore before. I've incorporated some of the rules from the FST-7 training program as well to make a sort of prototype version, but not deviating away from the basis of Y3T. We start again with cycle one next week, which is strength training (High Weight 6-8 reps), followed by cycle two: strength training (High Weight 8-10 reps) then the bastard third cycle (High Reps / Drop Sets / Supersets).
We're getting ready to go back home from Afghanistan and so we upped our cardio to try and get rid of some unnecessary bodyfat for what's left of SoCal's beach season. I've learned a lot about my body, how to improve it and other lessons that will transend into my MMA training when I get back. I'm really looking forward to continuing the progress on my body, hoping to some day surpass the Titan of the Ultimate Physique, xNick EdgeX (If you happen to stumble upon this I'd be honored to train with you sometime). I'm most looking forward to seeing my wife and kid, it's been far to long.
To those reading this, remember to maintain a positive attitude, never settle for achieving your goals but to always strive to surpass them.
