I really appreciate everyones support that I’ve been getting. I didn’t know you guys cared so much, it almost brings a tear to my eye.
For those who don’t know, I injured my wrist working out Monday night. I’m hoping it’s just a sprain, I don’t think it’s a fracture or anything. The swelling has gone down, but the stiffness remains. I blame myself for the injury. I usually take 2-3 weeks off after 3-4 months of training. But since I lost so much mass during Army training, I felt I had a lot of ground to cover. I’ve been working out 11 months straight without a break! I lost myself in my own arrogance. Be careful guys, sometimes you can be too determined to do the right thing. So due to my wrist injury I’ll be taking a minimum of two weeks off of training, and I will be postponing my contest until 2011 when I come home from Iraq. It sucks, but sometimes these things happen and it’s best to just accept it and fight on. Thanks to everyone for your support. I’m going to go back to mass training and put some more size to these muscles. We all know my chest still has some growing to do. I wish everyone well in your training, and don’t forget to give your body some rest.

I’ve always wanting to get a job in Fitness Modeling. I just have a hard time finding a good agency. I keep finding ones that require some kind of fee. I’m hoping I can get to a level where I look good enough that agencies will want me because I can make them money, as opposed to having to pay them myself. What’s a guy got to do? Does anyone have any good advice on how to get into fitness Modeling? Or just modeling, whatever it takes to get my foot in the door.

Someone asked me the other day what I use to get big and asked me if I was using steroids. And a couple of weeks ago when I saw my recruiter who I hadn’t seen in about a year he asked me if I was using steroids too and warned that it would show up on the urine testing. I find it very flattering that people actually think that I’m big enough to pass as a roided guy. However I have never used steroids and dont plan too. I’ve played around with the idea of trying GH, but not any time soon. As long as I can keep growing on my own I’ll stay natural. But yeah it’s pretty flattering when people ask what I’m on. "Nothing, but thanks for the compliment."

Yesterday was my first day back in the gym. It feels great to be back. I lost a few pounds last week, my shoulders feel great and I’m looking forward to the next couple of months.

I recently heard about this guy Vince DelMonte, his video’s and workout programs. I just checked out his website (www.vincedelmonteworkout.com) last night and I didn’t really get anything out of it except for here’s another guy saying what you need to hear in order to sell his product. There’s no one way to workout. This is problem with so many people. They think that by looking through magazines or subscribing to articles from trainers/bodybuilders that they’re going to find their perfect workout. What’s so hard to understand about it. Everyones body is different and no one can tell you what your perfect workout is because no one knows your body better than you. You have to invest time trying different workouts to find out what works best for your body. It’s going to take a few years, but as long as your patient, execute proper form and keep a healthy diet, nothing could pay off more. Invest time in yourselves and stop looking to other people to write your workouts for you. You can get help and advice, but I can’t say it enough, Only you can find your perfect workout.
As for Vince DelMonte, I looked at some of his videos and wasn’t very impressed. He looks healthy and fit, but he’s nothing special. As for his workouts, yeah I didn’t see anything that I was interested in trying. I’m not trying to insult the guy or anything, I just don’t get why people hold him up so high. I was a pretty scrawny guy in high school too. It just takes work and dedication, but there’s no special formula that he miraculously discovered. He just invested time and study into himself. Good for him, he’s done a great job rebuilding his body, but I’m sure as hell not going to pay him $100 for his so called "$1,000 worth of downloadable reading" Anyway, I see this all the time and I’m still not impressed.
Once again, not insulting Vince, he’s done great for himself, but I think he could probably do better. His workouts look pretty half-ass to me.
That is all, just getting my feelings out there a little bit.

I’ve only taken 3 days off of my 7 and I’m already going crazy. It’s really hard for me to take time off. I’m trying to just focus on dropping my body fat and keeping a healthy diet, but all I can think about is the workouts that I’m not doing. I realized that I’ve been working out since July lifting heavy and hard non-stop without a break. In the past I’ve always taken at least a week or two off in between programs. So I know that this break is for the best. But I just wanted to bitch and complain a little bit about how much it blows not to be able to work out for a week. Funny how most people avoid working out, just goes to show how addicting fitness can be. I’ll be hitting the weight room again on Monday. Raw Iron, gotta love it!

On Sunday I realized that my workouts haven’t been going as well as they should be. I’ve also been feeling a lot of tension and strain in my shoulders the last couple of weeks. So, with much regret I decided it would be best for me to take a week off and rest my body from the heavy lifting. I’m still going to do cardio, pull ups, push ups, dips and abs. That way I can still develope better definintion. Planning to compete in July/August, so I’ve got to drop my weight into the 170’s.
