EggWhites International?
Ok, so they just came in the mail. To sum up the nutrition facts : One 8-ounce cup of liquid egg whites supplies 26 grams of pure 100% bioavailable protein, with only 2 carbs., Zero Fat, Zero Cholesterol, and only 120 calories. Basically, 10 eggwhites. ( Each pump equals 1 ounce, my trainer feels I should only do 7 instead of 8. )
My plan is, perhaps replacing 3 of my meals daily, with this. Simply because it’s a hell of a lot easer, I can mix it with anything from skim milk,juice,you name it,it’s tasteless. Plus, since I purchased 2 of them, I can leave one at work.
My trainer’s concern latly, is from the beginning, i’ve been consuming too much protein. When i first started with him 7 months ago, he couldn’t believe I was 5′2 at 172. You would think I would need assistance walking through the door lol I know muscle weighs more than fat,but christ ! It was just strange,with a number like that, u would think that i would look "obesse". But if u look at my pix,that wasn’t the case. Anyways, we argued,then he threw a 10 pound wt on the men’s locker room’s scale…twice lol,kicked everyone out, then allowed me in. Once the scale proved my number, we tried to figure out what was it that i was eating etc that was causing this wt gain within the past yr ( for yrs i was 135). Then we both figured it out,since my diet was close to perfect ( 3-4 meals a day,compared to the 6 meals a day i eat now) it mainly had to do with the medication that I was on,Lexapro ( it’s for anxiety). From there on it took me 4 months to be leaned off it,finally the weight started falling off.
::kicks medication to the curb:::
Anyways, I’ve droped 10 pounds since. I’m curious now that if i replace 3 of my meals with the liquid egg whites, would I see faster results? Now i know " fast" Isn’t the safest & key to long term results. But if I were going to take this on, wouldn’t this be the healthy way…it seems harmless considering it’s all natural. Suggestions? Sorry for the long blog
Happy holidays

Hmm, I eat egg whites for breakfast but I don’t think I could handle eating them all day. I don’t know if you supplement with whey protein but for a meal replacement I love to eat Sludge. It’s sounds strange, it looks strange but it tastes so freak’n good you’ll think you are cheating. I use Scivation chocolate whey which is perfect for sludge. There’s a link to a youtube vid for making sludge on my Bspace.

While eggs, and more specifically egg whites, may be close to the perfect food you will go crazy eating them all the time. Work in some whey protien. Sludge is good stuff too. Tuna w/ a little mayo or mustard. Variety is the spice of life. Also you NEED carbs to build muscles. Low to no carbs is great for mostly sedentary people, but those of us who work out need carbs.

The thing is…i’m allergic to Whey! Literally, my throat closes ::cries:: lol Any other suggestions?

That sucks. Well there are casein and soy proteins. I think GNC sells a protein from Egg too. You may want to look up some of the Reps over in the forums and see what they say. I just find that people who go on diets that feature one food exclusively tend to fall off the wagon. Ya know?

I agree with those above me. If you can handle eating egg whites 3 times a day then go for it. But there’s plenty of other protien sources available to mix it up in case you get sick of 3 cups of egg whites on a daily basis. Plus, if you’re currently eating only 3-4 meals and you plan on replacing 3 of those meals to egg whites, there’s a good chance that you’re going to be cutting your calories pretty drastically. Ultimately, weight loss comes down to "energy balance". Yes, you have to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight, but eating ‘Too Few" calories is just as bad as eating Too Many. The goal isn’t to ‘lose weight’. It’s to decrease bodyfat. That’s the number you should be keeping track of. Not the number on the scale. It sounds like you’re on the right track though. Congragulations on getting off the Meds!
