Labor Day Weekend - Tryin’ to Stay the Course

There are so many forces and so called "friends" trying to derail us from our goals.  It is just so easy to justify little cheats here and there.  That’s how it starts.  A little cheat here, that little cheat makes it easier to do it again and again and before you know it, you’ve gained 5 pounds.

Today is the Friday before Labor Day weekend.  Yea, time off from work, but that also means parties, coctails, fattening yet of so convient appetizers etc….  I’m trying very hard to be mindful of my goals and stay the course this weekend.

That is one thing that I love about BodyBuilding.com.  It is a support group of like minded individuals who are there to support you all the way.  Each day is a new day.  Every day needs different amounts of support and motivation to stay the course.  There is always someone who you are trying harder than and someone is trying harder than you.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend!

It’s so great to have others facing the same challenges. Sometimes I get caught in similar situations with a schedule between work and school of 8 am to 9 pm. It really takes planning ahead of time, and diligence during the day not to fall back on something out of the vending machine for lunch. Keep it up!

Hi - question - how heavy do you lift? I’m also a petite 5′1 and put on muscle fairly easily, especially my arms and upper. The harder part for me is sometimes losing fat around my legs and butt. I found that heavy squats and leg presses and lunges do the trick. I was afraid of lifting heavy and thought my b/f wouldn’t like it. Turns out, he and other guys love it and always ask me to flex. They all seem to be shocked and turned on at the same time that a petite girl can outlift them (at least with legs). That said, i like the fitness or light figure look - just like yours. I wonder if you’ve had similar experiences and what type of leg work you do, including how heavy you lift, to keep your awesome legs and butt. Thanks! MAYA
