Restaurant H–l

I enjoy eating out and am a self-confessed fast food addict. I’ve always known that fast food was high in fat and calories, but I really had no idea how terrible the food is in "sit down" restaurant chains!!! I had a planned free meal last night, but when I looked up my fat and calories on CalorieKing.com this morning, I was horrified. Needless to say, next time, I’ll look up the nutritional information ahead of time and pick wiser choices. If anyone has any favorites, let me know.

My Legs Are Killing Me!

I’m a beginner, so I have a question for you experienced guys about muscle soreness.

Yesterday, I did lunges using the Body for Life method (12 reps at a light weight, increase weight and complete 10 reps, increase weight and complete 8, increase and complete 6 -the heaviest, decrease to the same as when I did 8, and complete 12 then immediately switched to barbell squats and complete12.)  My legs were in pain during and immediately after, and they killed me the rest of the day and night into this morning.  I’ve never had this happen to me to this extent, and I was wondering if this is normal, or if it means I need to decrease the weight a little next time I do lower body?

Body for Life

I started the 12 week Body for Life Challenge this past Monday.  I do have a question about the weight lifting program. I was told by a friend of mine that a person over 30 should train one body part per week. The Body for Life plan divides weight training into upper and lower body, so that every other week, I would be training the same muscles twice. Should I follow that plan, or modify it because of my age?
