Frustration..
I’m a firm believer in that life will pay you what you ask of it. Ask for a quarter and thats what you’ll get, ask for joy and success and you’ll get that too. I belive that if we learn to manage behaviours we cab change anything. Affirmation and positive thinking are a start, but affirmation without discipline is a delusion. Affirmation with discipline creates miracles. If you want to become all that you can be you have to master frustration, frustration can kill dreams, it can turn a positive attitude into a negative one, an empowering state into a crippling one. Negativity will wipe out self discipline, and when discipline is gone - so are the results you desire. The key to long term success is to master frustration. There are two kinds of people, those who’ve handled frustartion and those that wish they had. Theres a company called Federal Express, Fred Smith started this compnay and he built a multi million dollar company out of mounds of frustration, when he started the company, after financing it with every dime he had, he hoped to deliver 150 packages, instead he delivered 16, five of which the business sent to the home of the employess. Things got worse from there, periodically employees cashed their payroll checks at conevnience stores because funds werent available to cover the checks. Many times their planes were in the rpocess of being repossessed. Federal Express is now a billion dollar company and the only reason its still there is that Fred Smith was able handle frustration after frustration. He understood what it meant to come up with new strategies and new alternatives. Thers great frustration on the road to any great success - in a business - in a relationship and in life. Are you with me B?

Exactly. A life without discipline is hollow and unrewarding at best. Frustration creeps in on everyone and must be seen for the opportunity it presents, not for the negative aspects. Great blog as always!

Very wonderful blog Melinda! You seriously should be a motivational writer! You make alot of sense. What boils down to is people want to run to the finish line but if a few hurdles are placed in their path going down the track they don’t want to make the attemp to jump the various hurdles because it’s too much effort or they don’t feel confident in their own skills to make it over the hurdles or it’s just too risky, so they they stop one quarter or one half way down the track and turn back around to go back to the begining and look for an easier track to run where the rewards are much less and so is the effort to run it. They keep training on the easier track so they will never have the skills to ever run a more difficult one that would produce much more success and rewards for themselves. They settle. Instead of training and learning how to make it down those difficult tracks and leap hurdles to great success, they settle for medioredy. Thanks so much for another great blog!

It is very true Melinda, and sometimes we get so wraped up in that frustration that we dont even relize it. But something or someone might say something and then the door opens up and we move thru. Thank you

Melinda,
Well said. One of the greatest secrets to life is that "we must see the forest for the trees". We must see the big picture instead of what’s in your face.
I’ve applied this philosophy since I 2004 when I was working on faith that my health would get better.
Today, I apply that believe in my daily life and my training. Far too many times, I think I’m not as good as some of the ladies who are competing, but when I look at what goals I wish to achieve, I gain prespective and am renewed in my spirit.
Your shoulder training is an excellent one. You will see great process.
Cheers.

Melinda, your blogs are always so enlightening!! I love this blog!! It is so true!! You cant ‘just’ think..you also have to put into action the postitive affirmations!! I didnt think myself down 100lbs! lol I wish!! I dreamt it, believe it and worked hard for it!!
And there are always little road bumps and frustrations that can throw us off our path unless we stay determined and realize that is just part of the learning process!!
Keep writing girl!! You are truly inspiring!!
