New Programme today!
I started a new programme today, using the 5×5 system, needed to shake things up a little, my back is a bit sore, so I did bi’s and tris’s today and will do back on thursday.
Warmed up with 2 sets of 7 pull ups - getting stonger here.
Barbell curls……………23kgs x 5reps x 5 sets
seated incline dumbell curls…………………..10kgs x 5 reps x 5 sets
standing dumbell curls……………………11kgs x 2 sets x 5reps, 12kgs x 3 sets x 5 reps.
preacher barbell curls…………………….20kgs x 4 sets x 5 reps, x 1set x 4reps.
tricep cable pushdowns………………….40kgs x 6 sets x 5 reps
rope pull downs…………………….30kgs x 5 sets x 5 reps
overhead extension dumbell on bench lying flat on back………………….16kgs x 5 sets x 5 reps.
skull crushers………………………15kgs x 5 reps x 5 sets.
standing calf raises……………………..50kgs x 3 sets x 30 reps(10in,10out,10straight continous) - real girly attempt here, could have done more weight, wasnt burning like death.
I hade a good workout, will maybe do this sytem for 2 or 3 weeks, I’m hoping to increase my weights, see some good ab development happening, will do more progress pics soon. I went to a bodybuilding show on Saturday eve, well it was awesome and inspirational, everyone looked magnificent. I really respect the dedication it takes to build muscle and then strip your clothes off, get on stage and let everyone else crit you, these guys are real hero’s, most of us are too coward to even try. So next time you’re at a show, remember thats its easy to crit but so very hard to get up there and bare it all, support, cheer and encourage…..they need that.
