Why women should lift……..
1. God made man first, his rough copy, then he made woman and that friends, is his masterpiece, so you have to take care of his masterpiece.
2. Cardio helps the fatloss but keeps the same shape where as weights can mould your bodies shape to exactly what you want.
3. Muscle speeds up your metabolism, so yeah you can eat more…yum.
4. Muscle forces you to have better posture, so when you enter a room, you can own it. It is also a natural ‘body’lift, yeah, we take no sag.
5. Strength is a natural confidence builder and a natural deterrent to any criminal.
6. If you can master the discipline to weight train and get results then you can use that discipline in all areas of your life…….family and career.
7. Because the era of the waif is so over and strength ROCKS!!!
8. Strength and muscle is as sexy as sexy gets.
9. You can be a better mom, whisk those kids up in a flash and give em some love.
10. Children need healthy role models in women, take care of health and clean eating and they will follow suit.
11. God chose us to bring mankind into the world, if we can push those huge babies out of tiny opening’s then we can lift the iron………..REAL WOMEN LIFT.
12. We dont need superman to save us, we can lend him a hand and enjoy the flight too.
13. Lifting makes your sex life so much better, not just your bi’s getter tighter.
14. Who needs stress, when you can lift feel like ‘Melinda urban jungle conquerer’!
15. Lastly I’m not a suffragette, but I think that gone are the days when you need a man to tell you that you are sexy to truly feel it, empowering yourself to live a fabulous life is where sexy was born. Men dont need to constantly save us, we need their chivilary but we can also help them build legacies and empires, so get on board for the ride ladies, on top is where we’re best!!
So heres my workout for today:- LEGS
Body weight squats x 40 reps.
barbell squat……………………3 sets of 40kgs x 11 reps
leg press………….3 sets of 80kgs x 15reps, 1×100kgsx15reps, 1×120kgs x 15reps.
Hack Squats………..3 sets x 15 reps of 45kgs
walking lunges………….5sets x 20kgs x 28 steps each.
lying leg curl………….2sets x 10reps x 20kgs, 1×8reps x20kgs
standing calf raises……3 sets of 20reps x 40kgs.
I could barely do the calf raises, my legs were trembling so bad, this was a really tough workout, I didnt have my training partner with and I always do more on those days. Someone asked me if I was trying to commit suicide in the gym today, but hey whats wrong with giving 200% if you can! My life is my party and I’ll celebrate the way I want to!
