Yes, it’s true. Monday was the one month mark for me! Looking back on the last 30 days, I can say that all in all, this month wasn’t that hard on me. In fact, it was a little easier than I expected it to be. I have a philosophy on how the reason my quitting wasn’t successful in the past was because I was quitting for the wrong reasons, and I really didn’t WANT to quit. This time literally feels different from my past attempts. I feel as though if a person really, AND I MEAN REALLY, sets their mind to something, anything can be acheived. It’s just a matter of going and GETTING IT.
This will be my last post on my progress, untill I feel I have hit another significant checkpoint on my road to being smoke free. - no need to post every week… THAT’S JUST DUMB!

As the title says, I have made it through a rather rough week on my quest to be a non-smoker. I’m not sure when the "idea" of not smoking is going to kick in, in my head. Simply put, I still feel like smoking, it is still a pattern/habit that my body feels the need to do. What made this week especially hard was the drinking I had done last night. I got pretty sloshed a friend’s BBQ last night, and was jonsing for a butt so badly. I did, however, make it through the night, proving to myself that I am able to get hammered, and still not smoke. This is a HUGE step for me. After this week, I’m confident that this is for good.
P.S. - I feel that this bldyblog also helps. It’s almost like I owe it to myself, and to the visitors my of my blog, not to screw this one up. However few they may be!

The title says it all! So far so good. I ended up passing out Saturday night after the Delahoya/Mayweather fight, which very well may have saved me from going to a club with all my buddies and getting completely shitfaced. By the way, the fight was complete garbage. I almost fell asleep after the tenth round, to be completely honest. I think I’ve reached a decent enough "checkpoint", where I can now use my 2 week smoke free period as some good motivation to keep me away from those sweet sticks of nicotine. Next week, I’ll be going out to a club for sure, so that’ll be a true test of character. I’m smoke free for now, and I hope I can say the same sext week.

I’ve successfully made it through my first week without a single cigarette. It wasn’t so bad, but I guarentee that the worst is yet to come. I’m confident that this will be my last attempt at quitting, as long as I can stay away from alcohol for the first little while. After that, I’m hoping it’ll be smoothe sailing. I’m really proud of myself.

I have been battling with this habbit for quite some time now, and each time I try to quit and fail, I get more and more discouraged and frustrated. I began smoking when I was just 16. My father worked for a major tobacco distributing company, and the pressures of adolesence proved too great. Regardless, I have been smoking steadily for 4 years now. It began with the occasional butt between classes or on lunch, and has since evolved into a disgusting pack a day by the time I was 18-19.
The longest I’ve ever been without smoking is only about a month and a half. The main reason why it is so hard for me to kick the habbit is because up until recently, I’ve had a job as a club promoter/party thrower. This means that every weekend, I would go to clubs, get hammered and give in to all my temptations. So for the past two months or so, I would quit smoking Sunday to Thursday, but end up smoking close to a pack between Friday and Saturday.
Either way, I have finally quit that job, and now I am finally looking to quit for good. The last time I smoked a cigarette was Sunday April 22nd. I know it has only been a couple of days, but I guess I’ve got to start somewhere. I can only hope that this time will be the last time I have to "quit" smoking.
