So I’m still a little sore in the chest from my workout on Monday but this morning that seemed like small potatoes since I almost puked while doing legs. Jumping into the leg workout with a guy who trains his legs often seemed like a good way to force it upon myself to work them out. Uhhhhh WTF was I thinking? This guy kicked my @$$! I became sore during my 3rd set! I recall the 2nd day being the most painful so I kinda know what is to come. The sadistic thing about it all is I can’t wait til next week! Oh by the way, he said that "we were only" squatting 315lbs for 4 sets of 10. This guy is insane.

I have been on the same workout plan for about 8 months and have begun to get bored. No workout partner and the same ole routine is a drag. This week I kick off on a 4wk workout and have managed to trick someone into being my workout partner. I have gained the reputation of being a taskmaster but funny thing is, I think I have gotten "soft" and may not be able to live up to the rep. Either way, I’m excited for the change. My workout can be found at http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0801/is_3_69/ai_n24265907/pg_2/?tag=content;col1. I will try to update the progress if any. Train hard!

The gym seems to operate in cycles. Constantly changing shifts……no not the workers there but the people I share tips, with give advice to and in some way, shape form or fashion, try to inspire. It changes so much I have began to associate people with the cycles I see instead of their names sometimes. I remember ole` “spring break” he had a lot of energy but did not want to finish those last reps of a set. And “Ms. New Years” nice glutes! We talked at length about watching what she ate…..I wonder how she’s doing. Hmmm, where was I going with this????? Oh yeah, Is this the norm around your neck of the woods? I like people and seem drawn to trying to help them achieve their goals. What about you? Let me know what you think……Sound Off!

Each day we wake up we are “driven by a force” or “find some reason” to head to the gym. From day to day my force or reasoning changes. Today I was very excited about my job. The opportunity to instruct someone is a rewarding feeling. To pass on the knowledge that you have gained either through life lessons or your attentiveness in class is not only selfless but continues the cycle of education. Whether its teaching a child to tie their shoe or instructing a chemist of the correct combination of chemicals you are ensuring that the once learned skill carries over. Any, tomorrow there will be something different to motivate me to work out. Possibly how much I hate my job. J I’d like to know what you force or reasoning is……… I know for sure if it was easy to go every day the place would be wall to wall, for some reason it never is.

Getting back in the gym after taking time off to heal an injury……..not fun. Must not focus on the amount of weight I have lifted in the past but focus on making the amount of weight I am lifting now, "count". Average day of back and bi. Better luck next week. I am on a 4 day a week workout schedule in order to give my muscles the rest needed to recover. 3-4 sets 6-8 reps with heavy weight. Fun times! Come along and lets see how much we can learn and share with each other. I am not a amateur or professional weightlifter just your "Average Joe" that adapted the lifestyle.
