Alright, so 6 days to go before I join the Royal Marines and I’ve decided to stop lifting now until I either finish basics, or can fit it in during basics.

I don’t want to risk injury before I go in so to be on the safer side I will only be running and swimming for the rest of this week - take the weekend off and start basics feeling fresh and ready!

So I continued the gaining momentum in my training by hitting PR’s in Deadlift and Bench!

This means that next week I can add a little more weight to the bar! Patience and persitence = progression :D

So I’m at work, stuffing my face with oats, fruit and wholemeal bread - trying to get as much energy for my gym session later this afternoon.

This may be the last heavy deadlifting session for me before I join the Marines so I want to make the most of it!

4 mile run yesterday on the treadmill - felt super fit even though I hate running on tread mills - I’m much better on the road for some reason.

I think I’m finally over my cold - really knocked me for 6 that did.

Tomorrow it’s deadlifts and bench - let’s see if my hand has enough callus left after I tore my callus off 2 weeks ago!

Hit new PR’s today in the squat and chins.

Not sure why I’m bothering as I’m going to lose all my gains when I join the Marines LOL - I know I’m not going to be a Commando, but the training is still going to be harder than anything I’ve ever tried so I don’t want any ‘band service is for pussies’ type comments :mad:
