Eastbound and Down
Well, school's over for the semester, back home for once. Haven't had that the last couple years with my research last summer and summer class and contest prep the year before that. Hoping it will help point me in a positive productive direction in all areas of my life.
Hoping to work on my book everyday this summer, possibly finish it. And go to town on getting that published. My story for my creative writing class was very well received, so it's not just my parents anymore saying i'm an awesome writer lol. I just have to decide if i'm going to take the idea i used for my short story and blow it up into a book, which wouldn't be hard, there's not a lack of material at all; or if i'm going to use the idea i've been working on for some time. All fantasy and sci-fi esque of course, i'd have it no other way. Write what you love to read.
Also on the list is reviewing all my physics stuff so that I can simply fly through homework in the fall and annihilate some classes for once since changing to this major. I really want to graduate lol, not that I don't like school, but I don't particularly like being in columbia at school. Too many people just drink, and almost no one wants to compete, or even be big for that matter. So just not a lot of people here for me to connect with. I fully believe in surrounding yourself with positive influences and people that are going to help you get where you want to go in one way or another...and that can be just in a supportive manner, no more. The point is, people that get drunk every weekend and often during the week, what kind of influence is that? I just have no desire to deal with it.
Hoping to get my knees to 100% working with IFBB pro chiropractor Dena Westerfield in chesterfield too, we shall see. Also hoping to start incorporating some myo fascial therapy and deep tissue massage to loosen up fascia and allow even greater muscle growth. Next time I step on stage I want it to be LIGHTS OUT from every angle. On that note, my 'reload' starts tomorrow, 8 weeks of the most insane balls to the wall all out training and eating that I can possibly muster. Hopefully at the end of that we'll be sitting in the 250s somewhere. I think i'm leaning more toward not worrying about body fat too much during this period and then if it does get above 15% i'll do a 4-6 week cut after that to even it back out. Then after that bulk more until I decide to start a contest prep again.
Working on uploading a bunch of pics on here from when I was 3 days out from my show. But the internet here at home is obscenely slow, so it's very slow going. Having been able to look at these I feel like I looked a lot better 3 days out than I ended up looking on the day of the show. I don't know wtf I did exactly, but I think it def had something to do with my "****-load".
big plans!! I'm sure everything will come together for you, good luck :)
Good luck on your busy-ass summer! Only giving yourself 8wks? Saw your new pics and very impressed by your legs and back. Workouts don't change much, still heavy but she adds in a LOT more plyo after heavy sets and a lot of "holds" at peak contraction.
