My training has been strange to say the least.

I’ve been trying to lift once a week, run once or twice, and go to boxing twice a week.

I’m the most well rounded I’ve ever been although some areas do need improvement.

My big lifts are..

Bench press - 170 lbs for 2 reps or 155 for 5 reps

ATG squat - 155 for 5 reps

Deadlift - 155 for 6 reps

- I havn’t tested my mile time in awhile although I’m positive I could run below 8 min 30 second mile.

- I’ve been boxing with a trainer (which makes a BIG difference) for 4 months, and I’ve seen big improvements in my muscular endurance, and some good improvement in my technique.

My lifts are about as solid as they’ve ever been. I just wish they were stronger..

My goal will probably be to

Bench - 155 for 8 reps

AGT Squat - 165 for 8 reps

Deadlift - 165 for 8 reps

I’m also in the process of building up my legs, since I’ve been running more I eased up on squats and deadlifts and now I’ve ended up with chicken legs. Hopefully I can improve on that by the summer!

Boxing routine - 40 sit ups, 10 leg raises W/assit. 5 leg raises without,

5 rounds shadow boxing, 5 rounds punching bag

2 - 3 rounds hand targets with Coach

3 - 4 rounds speed bag

2 rounds jump rope

Its been almost a year since I’ve updated my log.. Alot has occured my training has grown and I’ve branched off in alot of ways.

Off the top I STILL weigh around 170 lbs so that part of my training hasn’t gone to well.. but there IS a reason. I’ve been running miles, and sprinting. So even though my strength has increased a great deal, my weight has stayed the same.

I guess from a functional point of view thats actually great, but I was hopeing by now to atleast have added a few pounds.

My bench at the moment is 155 pounds for 6 reps. (Just did that today) - I"m usually able to add ONE rep each week or atleast every two weeks to my bench.. and afterawhile I add about 10 more pounds to the bench.

My pull ups have gotten alot stronger.. whereas I might have only did 4 or 6 pull ups before NOW I can do 3 sets of pull ups with 5 pounds extra hanging from my belt each set 9 - 5 reps

My max pull ups (Good form always) is 15 reps.

I’ve added some size and definition it looks like although my weight has stayed the same so I’m happy about that.

- All around I’m in alot better shape than I was this time last year

Only issues is today I had to wake up early after getting off of work and basically I couldn’t eat breakfast (very bad) I’m hopeing I made up the calories during the day however.

Also I need to be better about taking my suppliments on time and regularly.

I just need to keep in mind that the end results are worth it and that I’m making progress with my training I just need to build the size to show it

So I weighed myself and surprise! I’m still at 170… This weight is so hard for me to break.. I need more consistancy its very challengeing and I havn’t been able to do it yet but I HAVE to to reach my goals. My lifts continue to go up weekly for the most part but my weight STAYS the same.

I recently added Regular Deadlifts to my routine to hopefully pack on some size.. since I just started doing them I started at 115 LBS but I plan to take it up to 125 lbs by next week since I’m already stiff legged deadlifting 165 lbs for reps.

My diet still needs work but I’m doing better with more protien shakes, boiled eggs, tuna, milk and so on. I hope by may 6th I finally reach 175 pounds. Once I do that I plan to begin taking creatine.

So its been a few days since my last blog, basically I weighted myself tuesday (the 10th) before I worked out and I came in at around 169.5 or so.. I know why because I hadn’t exactly been eating like I should because of a hectic work/sleep schedule, college, a girlfriend, and all those other excuses..

Tonight I sat down and realized I really need to improve for this summer put on some weight and make that damn 175 lbs goal by april 20th I’ve got only a few more days.. Honestly I don’t expect to be 175 on the nose because it would be unhealthy to gain that much weight so fast (6 lbs in 6 days) even for my skinny frame but I do expect to be well on my way and to have improved my diet even more. I will make this goal!

So I weighed myself a few days after the last blog I made and from the running and martial arts I realized I had lost around 6 pounds I weighed 164 pounds.. I wasn’t eating enough to support all my training and even tho I was in great shape my goal is to also be bigger. After around 20 days of bulking I’ve managed to gain 6 pounds and get my weight BACK up to 170 pounds which is my normal bodyweight.. now by around april 15 I hope to be around 175 pounds.

Peace

Began Bulking today officially, I’m logging what I consume for atleast a week in a spiral notebook to determine how many calories I usually consume and to motivate myself to eat more to put on lean mass for the summer. I’m going to track my progress from now intill a month from now in April to see how many pounds I added and how I look differently in pictures..

Also I’m going to weigh myself probably monday on a very accurate scale to see how much I can gain! I’ve lost a few pounds due to my martial arts training.. alot of running for endurance and a good share of sparring. Now I want to gain back the pounds I lost training and add weight to my body while maintaining my wind/endurance/speed and overall sparring ability.. It wont be easy but few things worth while are..!
