Pulled a quadriceps muscle, yesterday. Hadn’t worked out in a week and a half, and was feeling kind of stiff, especially due to the cold weather. Should have known better.

Gained 2 pounds, over the Thanksgiving weekend. Plus I didn’t work out at all, last week. Too busy. Currently weighing 191.

Pretty good day, though I didn’t work out. I got home from work this morning, and I didn’t touch the pancakes sitting on the stove. Normally, I would have given into the weakness.

Ate pretty crappy this week. Plus I went out drinking this weekend. I stepped on the scale and still managed to lose a pound, which now puts me below 190 for the first time in a while. If I can be disciplined for a week, then I’m curious to see what would happen. With Thanksgiving coming up on Thursday, I’m not sure it will be this week.

A few weeks ago, I was up to 196 lbs. I weight myself, tonight, and I weighed 190.

The diet and finding time to work out has been a struggle. There were a couple of weeks where I didn’t work out at all, and more than a few where I only worked out once. And most of the other weeks, I only worked out twice. But I have lost a little bit of weight, since joining up on this site. Been able to cut back on my portions, for the most part, and it’s becoming easier. It’s getting to the point where I hate to feel too full these days, so I’ve been eating smaller. I’m still working on cutting out the fatty foods though, but it’s getting a little better. If I can just put it all together, then I feel that I’ll start making some real progress and get things moving quickly.

Got a new girlfiend (good news), which has been keeping me out of the gym (bad news). That’s all I have to say for right now.

Not a good week. I only had one weight session. I was very busy and tired to work out, plus my car was in the shop. Hopefully, I can do better this upcoming week. One thing I’ve noticed is that I need to change my goal to something more clear and defined. As difficult as it might be, I would like to gain my 29 inch waist back. So maybe I should should for that again. It gives me a more motivated goal.

Not a bad week. I’ve noticed some subtle changes in my body. Still don’t look good without my clothes, but starting to look better inside my clothes. I’ve even received a couple of compliments this past week, from two females. Looks can be decieving, though! But I have to remain positive with the small changes, knowing that in time, they will accumulate into bigger changes. My diet is slowly improving. Am I where I want to be? No. But right now I’m more concerned with abstaining from the wrong foods and drinks. When I eat out, I will take a peak at "Eat This, Not That" for better choices at local fast food spots. It has helped, as I don’t feel so bloated afterwards. For example, I might still eat a cheeseburger; but I don’t order the coke and fries, which send a 500 calorie burger meal to almost 1,900. If I go to Arby’s I will order a roast beef sandwhich, which doesn’t come with cheese, but does include regular sauce. Once again, I will only order the sandwhich and do without the fries and soft drink. My wallet feels the difference too.
These past couple of days, I have switched to Sprite, instead of Coke. Yeah, I know the calories are probably the same, but at least I won’t be dehydrated from the caffeine. Eventually, I will lay off the sodas completely. Still not drinking hardly any water. But things don’t change overnight. I’ve been sweating so much, that I do need it. Thankfully, I’ve been drinking plenty of G2.
I had some pancakes this morning, which a personal weakness. The bad thing, I had them before going to bed. But hell, on a good note, I haven’t been raiding the vending machine. Also, up until this morning, I have been skipping breakfast, before going to bed, after getting off graveyard shift. So there are a couple of more positives.
Overall, I am starting to see some small changes. This in turn is motivating me not to give up and keep pushing forward!
