ahh!! school!!

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

soo school sucks. i have no time to run long distance AND weight train so im cutting back to just some yoga (for sanity reasons), a few days of cardio, and a day or two of lifting. sometimes i run up the stairs to my apartment (11floors) when i cant do anything else.

and yeah, the whole "not having time" thing is legit. for most people i think its an excuse. if you have a full time job then YOU HAVE TIME. go before work or after work.

i have class at least 6 hours a day and then have to study for the rest of my waking hours JUST TO PASS, not even to get really good grades.

after next week ill have a whole week or week and a half to relax and hopefully run some more. then after that its study time for finals.

going to be in miami dec 19 till whenever i decide to leave/when i run out of money. soo ready for this semester to be over. too bad i have 4 more years of this shit..

 ..this is me not studying…

Incredibly Frustrated

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

soo after I graduated from college (december 07) and moved back home, I had a ton of time to workout and concentrate on eating well. So by March I was in the best shape I had been in since high school. Then I spent 6 weeks in Africa. I planned on running everyday but my shoes got stolen about a week after I got there. I was walking a lot and playing with the kids at the orphanage but it wasnt enough exercise. On top of that, there was no protein at all. My meals consisted of breakfast: white bread with jam, sometimes an egg. lunch and dinner: white rice or yams(not sweet potatoes, different in africa), with oily vegetable stew.  And I ate about 10 mangoes a day, hence my bodyspace name.  Mangoes were free and sooo good. I didnt gain any weight but definately felt like crap with all the bad food I was eating. About half way through my trip I got sick and stayed sick untill about 2 weeks after I got home. By then it was around the end of May and I hadnt exercised for almost 2 months.

Finally got better and then about 3 days after I somehow hurt my wrist while I was sleeping. Couldn’t move it, it was very swollen, and had crepitus (grinding in the joint). It sucked! So I had to wear a wrist brace for about a week and a half and I couldnt lift any upper body and could mostly only do cardio.  I felt so weak from not lifting at all in forever.

Wrist finally got better and I was working out and running everyday for a couple weeks and then last week I cut my toe somehow. I think there is still glass in it. It hurts to walk and I cant do anything except lift and ride a bike with flip flops on. It hurts to wear shoes. Going to the doctor today so he can fix it.

I just want to get completely healthy so I can get back to my routine for more than 1 week at a time!! UGHH!!! just venting..sorry if you read this whole thing. I am bored waiting for my doc appt. wish me luck!
