Calorie counting
When I began my transformation, I didn't really put much emphasis on the nutrition and calorie aspect. I knew I needed to eat cleaner foods and to increase my protein, but I didn't take it seriously.
A couple of my friends started tracking their calories on a app on their phone. I decided to download it myself and start tracking my daily intake. It's nice because I can see not only my calories, but fat, protein, sodium, sugar, carbs, etc. I also can track my water intake and exercises.
Of course this is the week that I have a moment of weakness and bought a bag of potato chips. BUT, this actually worked out perfectly because I saw what a waste of my daily caloric intake potato chips were. I'd rather have a more filling and satisfying protein shake than 13 potato chips.
I'm hoping that doing this will be the extra push I needed to get even further with my results. I know I am doing well... many of my friends and family have been complementing on how good I am looking. It is such a great feeling. I feel more confident everyday, and that was one of my major goals was for more self-confidence.
My diet (other than the potato chips this week) has really improved from what it used to be. Not only do I now eat breakfast every morning, but I eat a healthy breakfast.
I know to really cut down I will need to make even more changes in my diet... but I also know that if I make too many drastic changes I will end up feeling overwhelmed and probably give up. I like where I am so far, and I just keep getting better.
Most people make change gradually great job each step is a positive step forward!!
Thank you! I try to stay positive, even if I have a weak day. Tomorrow is a brand new day and another opportunity to excel. :)
