Here we go!

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

Well, I ordered the Rock Hard Challenge from Muscle and Fitness, and I’m starting it tomorrow! I plan on following it perfectly, but may take it easier on squats because of a knee injury I’ve recently gotten. I really want to make a difference with this program and FINISH IT! Here we go folks, I’ll keep you posted!

Great Workout!

Tuesday, March 27th, 2007

Well, I had a great workout today. I lifted Chest, Biceps, Triceps and Abs. I was benchin 225 quite a bit, and then amazed myself at barbell curls!! I was reppin’ 95 pounds like it was a can of soda!!! Today Felt great!! I’ve lost another pound, which has brought he total weight loss up to a whoppin’ 2 pounds! lol…. need to kick it into high gear soon. My triathlon is less than 10 weeks away now!!! Yikes.

300

Thursday, March 15th, 2007

So, for anyone wanting to see what the men should look like, you should go see 300. I’m amazed at how great a shape Gerard Butler and the rest of the cast were in. They’re definitely something to aspire to, and are indeed very inspirational. It’s also an awesome movie; probably more of a guy flick though. Go check it out!

Midnight Madness

Monday, March 12th, 2007

Hey everyone-

So I’m sorry I haven’t written much. The truth is, I haven’t done too much. I worked out awhile back, and it got me sore for about 3-4 days (cuz I usually go too hard when first coming back). I’m much better now, and I went to a 24-hr gym and lifted again; this was around 10:30pm till 11:30ish. I’ve got a trial pass there, and a buddy of mine that belongs to it is probably going to be my lifting partner now. I think I’m going to join, though I can’t afford it monetarily, but i can’t afford not to, health-wise. Now, I have no excuses for missing workouts, the gym is open all the time….

Thanks for all the support guys, it means a lot to me. I will be better about updating my blog and page as well as visiting yours! Keep up the good work everyone!

Painfully back

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

Well, I made it in to the gym today since being sick and my long lay off. It was pretty sad, but I did a Spinning class and it beat the crap out of me. I stuck with it though, and finished it! I did, however, have to throw up half-way through, but thats ok. I don’t throw up much from working out, I can only think of 3 times including today. Oh well. It’s a start, right?

I’m Back and You Guys Rock!

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

Hey everyone— I sincerely thank all of you for all the support and messages! I have now gotten over being sick, and will be headed to the gym tomorrow. It’s gonna be rough, but I won’t quit! I was very pleasantly surprised when I logged on this evening and I had so many wall posts and messages of encouragement. You guys rock!! Keep pushing!

 Thanks again!

SO CLOSE!

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

Well, I’ve almost completely erradicated this illness now. I’m almost there! So close! There’s not much more frustrating in this life than really wanting to go to the gym, having the time to go to the gym, but you can’t/shouldn’t because you’re ill! I know we’ve all been there, but it still sucks! At least I have plenty of time to strengthen my resolve and more solidify my goals. Perception becomes your reality. It’s often said that if your mind can conceive it, you can acheive it. So I’ve been utilizing strong visualization tactics to help me get over being sick. I’ll not give up!

P.S. Thanks to everyone who’s supporting me or has written something encouraging. I don’t know if you’ll know how uplifting and hepful it is!

The Beginning…or is it?

Monday, February 12th, 2007

Well, I was bed-ridden today with being sick. I found out I actually have Strep. and am now on anti-biotics. So much for starting today in the gym, but it was probably for the best for me to rest. My resolve is still intact, and I will be back in the gym ASAP. I don’t feel I let myself or anyone down, this illness is beyond my control; but I’ll be back soon. My goal is to be back in the gym by wednesday!

Transformation’s Eve…

Sunday, February 11th, 2007

Well, here it is. The night before my journey begins and my life changes. I’m afraid that I was more sick today than I’ve been in a long time, but my resolve has never been stronger. I WILL start my training tomorrow even if it’ll kill me! I have to get back into the mindset I was in when I played sports in High School and College. Champions do one more, go one more round and train especially when they do not want to.

 Train hard. Get it done.

Contemplation Stage

Friday, February 9th, 2007

Well guys, I’m in the "Contemplation" stage of behavior modification. I plan to re-start training on February 12, 2007. It’s been awhile since I’ve been in the gym consistently. This time I’m training to lose the fat! Often when I’ve trained in the past, I’ve focused too much on the strength and weight-lifting, and neglected everything else. Now, I plan on changing that. I’ll spend this weekend gearing up for the proverbial "Monday" when I begin a new life. However, I’ve been battling a cold or ear infection of sorts, but I’m not going to let that stop me.

"Training is nothing; the will is everything."
