I few weeks ago I was thinking…I would love to just be sick and lay in bed all day one day and do nothing, but read magazines, watch tv, and just veg.  Well, the flu hit me yesterday.  Let me tell ya, I took that thought back IMMEDIATELY.  It was nothing like that.  I spend the first few hours thinking I would PUKE all morning, even making some false alarm runs to the bathroom.  (I have a way of talking myself out of puking!)  Then my mom came over to help with the kids, but my daughter (the newly 3 yr old) tells me she is sick too and needs to be in bed with me.  She is screaming "Mary had a little lamb"…making up her own words.  Crawling over my head, kicking me in the stomach, and whatever else she could do to annoy me.   So, my dream day was HELL.  I will never wish to be sick again…unless I get super fat and pray for weight loss.  I lost 4 lbs in 24 hours and have only got down a bowl of cereal today. 

So, no workout today.  No energy.  Big week ahead.  My son has his surgery this Thursday and will be in the hospital 3-4 days.  I will be staying there with him…and plan to catch up on any cartoons his little heart desires.  I appreciate all your kind words, prayers and warm wishes.  No one wants to see their baby have surgery, but God knows things could be worse.  I have a healthy lil guy and he will be 100% fine after the surgery.

If you haven’t read ShanBL’s blog…she is the funniest person on bodyspace.  I wish she lived closer b/c I could use her humor daily!
