I see this guy workout at my gym about 2-3 times a week with a trainer.  I am not being mean, but he is a rather large guy.  He works his butt off, and the trainers and doing all the right things with him.  But, I have to say, he hasn’t lost any weight in over a year!  I was sitting there thinking today about how he gets up at 5am to get to the gym, to get tortured, but he has to be doing somethign wrong…and I would bet money it is DIET!  I wish the trainers would take the time to ask him what he is eating or make him accountable.  I would ask him, but I don’t want to offend anyone…but geez, I would love to see him get results.

He isn’t alone.  I have this mental lecture with myself about once a month.  I get up at 5am to go to the gym, then get back home by 7 so I can be up before the babies get up…and then I am running all day.  Then at about 2:30pm each day…I want sweets, carbs…anything I get get my paws on.  I am usually cracking a Red Bull open at this time.  Sometimes I cave……  But I really have to stop and think about what I am doing.  It totally defeats the purpose of getting up at the butt crack of dawn (when I am NOT a morning person) and then eat crap later in the day.  I am having this lecture with myself right now.  So…I am going to stick to my diet and let my hard work pay off…and show off.

So, off to eat my tuna.  Yum, yum.  The holiday’s are coming…it is better to be ahead of the game!

Been awhile…

It has been awhile since I wrote…so just wanted to update & thank you.  First of all, thank you for all your well wishes for my son.  His surgery will be on Oct 9th.  He has what is called a tethered spinal cord, which is fatty tissue at the bottom of gis spinal cord.  Luckily, it is not at all affecting him now….but more than likely it will at some point, so we are doing the surgery.  The little guy just turned ONE this week.  As much as I hate to see my baby have surgery, I know he will be fine.  I am blessed that (other than this) he is a happy, healthy little guy.  And he will be a normal one year old once it is over.  So, that is that…thank you again for all of your kind words, prayers, encouragement…and everything else.  I appreciate your support thru this.

On the fitness end…my workouts have been INTENSE.  I am working with Jphillips17 on the workouts and diets…and whoa, he has some KILLER workouts.  I was a little leary about working with someone on-line, but I needed a change in my workouts and I didn’t want a set appointment with a trainer, etc.  i did legs on Monday, and they are still sore.  But sore is GOOD.  I love being sore.  When you aren’t sore, that is when you need a change…so I made that change.  Diet has been pretty good besides the occasional cheat.  My cheats aren’t horrible….but today I had a deli sandwhich for lunch since I was out at the park with the kids.  I realized I had not had bread, or a sandwhich like that in months!

My goal is to get this booty tight, and my thighs tight as well.  I don’t really care how much I weigh or how much my BF is (as long as it isn’t BAD), but I just want to look damn smokin’ hot!  :0)  Who doesn’t?  I wish you all the best with your goals and I hope we can all continue to support each other.  Thanks for all you have done for me.

Not so funny…

My daughter who turns 3 this Friday asked me…"mommy, what do you want to be for halloween?  A cow or a whale?"  Not so funny…more gym motivation!  :0)

As some of you know we were waiting to meet with the specialist regarding my son.  He has what is called a tethered spinal cord.  Basically fatty tissue and the end of his spinal cord.  Luckily, they caught it this early.  Had he not had an MRI to look at one of his vertebra, we would not have known.  We met with the neurosurgeon yesterday and he suggested that we do surgery.  It affects everyone differently.  Some don’t potty train because it can obstruct the bladder and bowel functions, others can’t walk, and others just have pain in their legs.  Well, for his sake, it isn’t worth waiting until we know how it will affect him.  We scheduled his surgery for the 1st part of October.  Yesterday I spent time crying, and trying to deal with this.  My baby is only 11 months old!  He is the sweetest little guy.  He has these awesome dimples and greets everyday with a smile.  He was born 5 weeks early, so when he was the in NICU for 8 days, I really struggled with where I needed to be.  When I would come home my 2 yr old would cry and say "mommy I miss you…" yet I had a baby in the hospital.  Again, I will have to deal with this…although I DO know, that it could be worse.  Many people have kids who are terminally ill…and my heart and soul go out to them.  After my son’s surgery he will be 100% normal and perfect!  This all just came at a bad time…one of my dogs had surgery about a month ago, my mom is terminally ill, my hubby is going to have back surgery in the next couple months.  Gosh…God only gives us what we can handle right?  I must be a ROCK!

I want to THANK all my BB.com friends who have asked, offered prayers, and help with diet etc.  You all are truly angels.  As much as I want to indulge in sweets and comfort food to make this all better….you are my sanity!  I only do about 1 thing for myself…and that is workout.  Everything else I do is for my family, friends, and volunteering in the community.   I will not give up or let any of you down.  That is my promise!  I plan to have a bootylicious booty by Christmas…LOL!  Hugs to all of you.  And my prayers are with you also!

On a lighter note…I have been tearing it up in the gym.  I used to think I didn’t sweat much!  HA!  I am now a stinky pig when I leave and I love it.  Thanks to Jphillips17 for his tremendous workouts and diet.  Seriously, this guy knows his stuff.

Have a great day….and take care of you!
