Felt very motivated this morning. I got up at 5 and ate. Then went to a 6am yoga class. Lifted back afterwards and bike for 30 minutes. I’ll either take the pup for a 3 mile run before my 1pm appointment or head back to the gym and hit the treadmill after work tonight. Its gonna be a great day!

So my day hasn’t gone as planned but I’m still going to get my workouts in. Going for a run now and I’ll hit the gym after work tonight. I HATE lifting at night! Gotta do it though. I’ve decided my rear end is my trouble spot. Carry pretty much all my fat there. Yuck! So I’m gonna target the area a couple times a week. My mid section will lean out from my normal workouts and cardio. The running I’ve started should also help with both of those areas. I’ve always have to have a goal so that will be it for now. Off to get my fitness in. J:)

Back from Phoenix. I wasn’t able to workout today because I had a bunch of things to catch up on from being gone. But tomorrow morning I’ll go for my run and then hit the gym after to lift back and abs. I feel pretty good considering I didn’t get to workout while I was gone. Must go to the grocery store to stock up on the healthy food. Excited to be back on a schedule but needed the time away. My focus now is leaning out and preparing to move the end of January. Back to school this semester!!! I’ve never been excited to go to school until this year. Lol

I decided to get back on here to stay motivated and inspired. I have to say I was pretty upset when I decided not to compete for awhile. It just not in the cards for me right now. I have to have a goal though! I need something to strive for. So now it is running. I used to hate it but I’m slowly starting to enjoy it. I feel good about my muscle gains but would like to lean out now. I just feel better when I’m lean and I want to show off these muscles! I would like to get down about 10-15 pounds. There is no rush though so I’m just taking it day to day. The nice thing about not prepping for a comp is that I can indulge once in a while when I have a craving. I’ve been eating pretty well though. Just more fruit and good fats which I really enjoy. I’ve been working really hard the past 2 weeks getting ready for my trip to Phoenix! I leave tomorrow and will have to indulge in some alcoholic beverages. Lol Won’t go overboard though and I’ll be working out even while on vaca. Thats all for now. I’ll see what I can do about taking some pictures. Thats always a motivator!

Training for comp #2! Last time I trained for 9 weeks. This time I have 11 weeks. I expect to look better and pose better this time around. I sold my old 2 piece and I’m looking for a new one! Very excited!!! I think I’ll compete atleast two more times this year. I’m losing weight at a good rate right now. Looking to compete at around 9% body fat.

My weight is down and I’m getting great lifts in at the gym. Eating clean is so much easier now. I feel like its a choice this time and not something I’m forced to do. I haven’t even found it difficult to get up for the AM cardio. I’m just having a lot of fun. I’m going to wait a couple more weeks before I do a body comp and then I’ll monitor my progress that way. But for now I’m losing the bad weight that I’ve gained since my show in December…and faster then I could have imagined! I feel amazing!!! I would love to make it out to LA for the show I did last year but I don’t know if I can afford it yet. I’m just staying focused right now and enjoying getting my body back. Yeah!!!

So….this weekend I found out how hard it is to be at a family function where they get to eat whatever they want. That takes serious discipline! I’m focused and determined though and my family is supportive.

I’ve lost 3 pounds in the past three days. I don’t want to lose too much weight though. It should stay up as I gain more muscle mass, but I have a feeling I’ll have no problem losing the 17 or possibly more than I initially wanted to.

I’m brand new to competition and I just found a trainer I want to work with. My goal is to compete Dec. 1st. If anyone has advice on getting ready for a competition feel free. I’m nervous about getting a good tan, how to prepare for it and how many applications youneed. Especially on my face. How do you stay motivated when it gets harder? Like how do I drag my ass out of bed at 4:30 in the morning…..?
